Then this from the French.. It seems where ever the Jewish pepole go there are those with anti-Semitic feelings. Yet by the most part it is the local Muslims who are behind these attacks.

Read it all as this lays out this issue.

.Jews in France fear wave of attacks

By LORI HINNANT | Associated Press – 7 hrs ago. 8 Oct. 2012 .........

SARCELLES, France (AP) — The gunshots outside a synagogue and the grenade that shattered the windows of a kosher grocery spread fear into the streets — but caused little surprise.

Jews across France say anti-Semitic threats have escalated since a deadly assault on a Jewish school in the southwestern town of Toulouse this spring. The attack on the grocery store in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles came several weeks ago, and the synagogue in nearby Argenteuil was this weekend.

In all cases, police suspect Muslim extremists. The Toulouse attacker was a Frenchman trained by Islamist paramilitaries. And anti-terrorist police killed one man and arrested 11 in raids this weekend against an Islamist cell suspected in the Sarcelles attacks.

French Jews believe the danger comes from radical messages that appeal to young Muslims in France who are unemployed, angry, alienated and looking for someone to blame.

But France has struggled to address the problem head-on because of the social sensitivities. President Francois Hollande met Sunday with the head of an umbrella group of Muslim organizations, assuring him that the government would not stigmatize all Muslims for anti-Semitic acts committed by a radical fringe.

Interior Minister Manuel Valls urged respect for all religions in a country that is determinedly secular, but which has Western Europe's largest Jewish and Muslim communities.

"These are not terrorist networks that come from outside; they are from our neighborhoods," Valls said on the TF1 television network.

The French government remains haunted by its complicity in sending tens of thousands of French Jews to their deaths in the Holocaust. Two days after the Sarcelles attack, Hollande traveled to a place used during World War II as a transit point for people destined for concentration camps.

Anti-Semitic groups, he said, "don't have the same face as yesterday, but they have the same goal."

The recent attacks have unsettled Jews, many of whom thought that anti-Semitism had faded since the 1980s, when members of the far-right fringe tipped over gravestones and defaced synagogues with graffiti.

"Anti-Semitism previously came from the extreme right, and the movements expressed their attitudes toward Jews with posters, words, perhaps by desecrating a cemetery," said Yossi Malka, a Moroccan Jew who settled in Sarcelles in the 1980s. "Today, we have an anti-Semitism that doesn't end with words but goes into the realm of action."

Malka blames conflicts overseas as well as the wave of post-colonial immigration from North Africa that has left a generation of struggling young Muslims.

Malka, who works with a French organization dedicated to tracking anti-Semitic acts nationwide, says violent and harassing acts spiked after the March shootings in Toulouse, climbing from two or three a month to seven.

The Toulouse shooter, Mohamed Merah, had admirers online even before his death in a shootout with police, according to Abraham Cooper, an American rabbi in Los Angeles who has worked with the French government and Jewish community.

"To those disaffected Muslims in France and elsewhere, he is someone to be emulated," Cooper said.

Holiday greetings were fired from Gaza as terrorists launched a barrage of rockets and mortar shells at southern Israel Monday 8 October.

Jews throughout the country marked Simchat Torah, a joyous celebration in which the annual cycle of reading the holiest book in Judaism is completed and commenced once more.

But in the south of the country, Israelis were instead repeatedly forced to race into bomb shelters. Terrorist groups shelled communities in the Eshkol Regional Council district, and launched dozens of rockets at the region.

At least two buildings were damaged, and a significant number of goats were killed when a missile struck a children's animal corner in one kibbutz. A mortar shell also exploded close to a synagogue in a barrage that was fired at about 5:50 a.m.

The Izz a-Din al-Qassam military wing of Gaza's ruling Hamas terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the attacks, together with the Islamic Jihad-linked Ansar al-Quds terrorist group.

"This blessed operation came in response to continuous and repeated enemy crimes against our defenseless people,” claimed the terrorists in a joint statement issued on a jihadist website.

Residents of the Eshkol region have been ordered to remain close to their bomb shelters.

The attacks came in response to an Israeli air strike Sunday in Gaza. Palestinian Authority Arab sources in the area claimed that 10 people were injured in the attack.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said the surgical air strike targeted two Global Jihad terrorists – Tala'at Halil Muhammad Jarbi, 23 and Abdullah Mohammed Hassan Maqawi, 24, as the two were riding a motorcycle. The IDF said the two were in the final stages of planning to carry out a terrorist operation against Israel during Simchat Torah. Maqawi died Monday of the wounds he sustained in the strike, local sources said.

Jarbi, a resident of Rafiah, has been involved in terror activity for years, said the IDF, and is a member of the Global Jihad terror movement. He had been involved in preparation of a terror attack in Sinai, according to intelligence reports.
Maqawi is a member of the Mujahadeen Shura Council (MSC) of Greater Jerusalem, a Global Jihad group based in Gaza.

Senior IDF Source: Expect 'Cast Lead 2'
Source tells Maariv 55 rockets fired into Israel by Hamas, Islamic Jihad leave Israel no choice.

After Hamas and Islamic Jihad co-signed a statement taking responsibility for the 55-rocket barrage fired into southern Israel over the Simchat Torah holiday (Sunday and Monday 7th and 8th October 2012), a senior IDF source said Israel has no choice but to launch a wide-scale military operation against Gaza.

The source told Maariv/NRG that the operation would include a large-scale ground incursion, not unlike the one undertaken in Operation Cast Lead in late 2008 and early 2009.

The joint statement by Islamic Jihad and Hamas regarding the rocket barrage is a rare occurrence, since the two terror organizations are considered to be hostile to each other, ever since Hamas took over Gaza in 2007.

A spokesman for Hamas's "Kassam Brigades" said that the statement is "a sign of top level coordination between the factions in the face of the Israeli occupation."

Egypt releases draft of constitution for debate

Associated Press – 1 hr 11 mins ago.. 10 Oct. 2012 .........

CAIRO (AP) — The panel writing Egypt's new constitution released a partial draft of the document on Wednesday, calling for a public debate in the face of mounting criticism over Islamists' shaping of the charter.

The campaign, labeled "Know Your Constitution," comes as the 100 members of the assembly are still haggling over controversial articles in the constitution, some of which will determine the role of religion in the country's affairs and the independence of the judiciary. The partial draft made public also did not include sections still under debate over the role of the military and the extent of civilian oversight over its budget.

The panel is dominated by Islamists who have come under mounting criticism from liberals and secularists. They accuse the conservative Islamists of seeking to place limits in the new constitution on religious freedoms and women's rights.

One article introduced by Islamists that came under heated debate puts limitations on equality between men and women in accordance with Islamic laws. Liberals and rights groups argued for the conditionality to be removed, but it appeared in the draft copy distributed Wednesday.

In a sign that the role of religion in legislation has not yet been settled, another article that would install Al-Azhar, Egypt's premier Sunni Islamic institution, as the sole body authorized to interpret religious laws, did not appear in the draft. That suggested that the assembly had not yet settled that issue.

This article would effectively give Al-Azhar powers to vet laws to determine if they are in line with its interpretation of Islam— a notion that has raised criticism from liberal groups.

"It is the right of every Egyptian in and outside of Egypt to review the draft, suggest articles that are even better than what is already in there," Mohammed el-Beltagi, a leading Islamist panel member told reporters.

He said the panel has not yet voted on the articles in the draft, meaning that the material made public was not final. The document, released to reporters, includes footnotes on nearly every article, blanked out areas that it said had not yet been decided and brackets on material that members were debating whether to delete, indicating that the draft was still very much a work in progress.

Panel members have said they expected to finish writing the draft charter as early as next month. The new constitution then will have to be put to a public referendum within 30 days.

Egyptians are writing the charter following longtime President Hosni Mubarak's ouster last year in a popular uprising. The previous constitution, adopted in 1971, was suspended and later voided after Mubarak's ouster in February 2011.

International Human Rights Watch had appealed to the panel members to review articles in the constitution that it said may fall short of Egypt's international obligations, such as neglecting to mention torture in the constitution, or giving a prominent role to an unelected religious institution in reviewing laws.

Report: Kurds, Tehran Unite to Fight Turkey
A Turkish newspaper reports the Iranian branch of the Kurdistan Workers' Party terror group has struck a deal with Tehran to fight Turkey.

First Publish: 10/11/2012, 8:01 AM

A Turkish newspaper reported Wednesday the Iranian branch of the Kurdistan Workers' Party terror group has struck a deal with Tehran to fight Turkey.

The report indicates a rapidly-developing trend towards a broad unity of Kurds in a pact with Iran against its western neighbor, furthering the chances of a regional war.

The news was revealed in a confession that came from a PKK (Turkish Kurdistan Workers' Party) terrorist who allegedly surrendered to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), Today's Zaman reported, quoting the Sabah daily newspaper.

According to the report, the deal brokered between the Iranian wing of the PKK, known as the Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan (PJAK) and the Iranian government will allow PJAK to operate along the Turkish border unmolested by the Tehran government.

The report also alleged the PKK was responsible for ordering recent deadly attacks on the Turkish-Syrian border, with some 700 PKK operatives sent to help Syrian Kurdish terrorists.

In addition, several female PKK terrorists surrendered to Turkish soldiers. The women claimed their surrender came after discovering that despite the very difficult conditions under which average PKK operatives live in rural Turkey, their senior commanders enjoy a luxurious existence in the group's Kandil Mountain headquarters in northern Iraq.

The Iranian Kurdish-Tehran government deal has led to the Turkish PKK's acquisition from Iran of Russian-made heavy weapons, according to the source.

The PKK also uses new recruits from among the youth to carry out attacks against the Turkish government, and then quietly murders the young operatives, the source reported. The deaths, which anger their families, are then used to turn entire clans against the Turkish government, he said.

PKK terrorists carried out attacks in eastern Turkey last month, firing rockets at an army convoy that killed seven soldiers and wounded more than 60, security sources said. The convoy sustained a direct hit by a rocket as it was traveling between the provinces of Bingol and Mus.

Well I and others have said it is going to get worst as more M.E. countries go Islamic and Al-Qaida as well as other terror groups gain more power..
I guess this is Al-Qaida's official warning.

.Al-Qaida leader urges holy war over Prophet film

Associated Press – 3 hrs ago. 13 Oct. 2012 ...........

CAIRO (AP) — The leader of al-Qaida has urged Muslims to wage holy war against the United States and Israel over a film that insulted Islam's Prophet Muhammad.

Ayman al-Zawahri praised as "honest and zealous" demonstrators who breached the U.S Embassy in Cairo and attackers who stormed the U.S. "embassy" in Benghazi in violence linked to the film. The American ambassador and three others died in the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in the Libyan city.

The amateur film "Innocence of Muslims" was made by an Egyptian-born American citizen.

In an audio message released by al-Qaida's media arm As-Sahab and posted on militant websites early Saturday, al-Zawahri claimed Washington allowed the film's production under the pretext of freedom of expression, "but this freedom did not prevent them from torturing Muslim prisoners."

I think they need to investigate all of them, even the regular members.

.Egyptian prosecutors to probe Brotherhood members

By SARAH EL DEEB | Associated Press – 46 mins ago. 15 Oct. 2012 ..........

CAIRO (AP) — An Egyptian judicial official says the country's prosecutor general is investigating two Muslim Brotherhood leaders on allegations that they instigated violence against protesters critical of the country's new president, who hails from the Islamist movement.

The Monday decision to question Mohammed el-Beltagy and Essam el-Erian follows clashes Friday between supporters and critics of President Mohammed Morsi that injured more than 100 people.

The investigation comes on the heels of a showdown between Morsi and the prosecutor general. Morsi tried to remove the prosecutor from office, but backed down after pressure from judges.

A security official said three others including a minor suspected of burning empty Brotherhood buses at the protest were ordered detained pending investigation. Both officials spoke anonymously as they were not allowed to talk to reporters.

SHOCKING to control any female is in itself a crime but to summit any to this is so unjust. It is plain wrong to me.

Fighting female genital mutilation, one Kurdish village at a time

By Patrick Markey, Reuters
Oct. 17, 2012 7:05AM PDT. Posted 19 Oct. 2012 .............

TUTAKAL, Iraq (Reuters) - Amena practiced female genital mutilation in her remote village in Iraqi Kurdistan for so many years that she struggles to recall how many girls passed through her hands.

"I couldn't count them," said the midwife, sitting in a garden in Tutakal, her hair in a black headscarf and her chin marked by a faded traditional blue tattoo.

"Ten children, a hundred children, a thousand children, I just can't count how many."

More than a year after lawmakers in Iraq's self-governed Kurdistan region passed a law banning FGM - also known as female circumcision - activists say the practice still goes on.

Autonomous from Baghdad since 1991, Kurdistan has its own government and enjoys an oil boom that has helped make it one of Iraq's safest areas, enjoying modern services, glitzy hotels and shopping malls unavailable in the rest of the country.

In remote rural areas, however, ancient traditions often rule. Honor killings, where women are murdered to protect the family's honor, still occur, and FGM is widespread, in part because it is supported by some clerics who say it is part of sharia or traditional Islamic law.

This could be changing, however.

In Tutakal, the donation of basic school services and a small classroom by a German-funded non-governmental organization called WADI has helped convince residents to stop the practice.

It is a promising model, activists involved in the campaign to stop FGM say, one they hope will spread to other Kurdish villages. The activists work to convince villagers the practice has no basis in Islam and spread the word that it is now against the law.

"More people understand this is a crime, and they can't practice it anymore, but we still need to implement the law," said Suaad Sharif, a field worker with WADI. "They say their grandmothers did it, their mothers did it, it was a habit that they had to carry on."
