Default Well, you ask us to share our passions here,

and all of my passions have been put on translation and drawing.

There's an exercise whose translator is me: 欧洲的分裂:加泰罗尼亚与民主的弊端(未完)-龙腾网

And I meet a difficulty, which is here, and I can't get its meaning, especially the red part:

But as Clinton and the British Remain campaign before her saw, “solving” on the basis of educating about facts no longer cuts it politically in today’s world.

Who would do me a favor to explain it to me? Thank you.

HI Esmee,

Could you post more of the text?
The sentence before it and after what you've posted. Because it looks like there might be more problems than the part you put in red.
" British Remain" isn't clear so it doesn't help in understanding the rest of the sentence.

But the term "no longer cuts it" is an idiom that means:
some process or action does not work anymore.
"doesn't cut it" is another version of it that's used in the present tense that means:
it does not work now or
It does not work in this situation

But the full sentence you posted, it seems like some things are missing or some words are wrong or mistranslated.
But as Clinton and the British Remain (what is British remain) campaign before her (should this be SHE SAW)saw,(WHO saw) “solving” (solving WHAT where's the subject) on the basis of educating about facts no longer cuts it politically in today’s world.
unless there's more information in the previous sentence that makes it clearer it's very hard to say what exactly this means.

I'd be taking a wild guess but if i HAD TO try and understand this sentence
but i would assume that the sentence might be trying to say something like:
But as Clinton and the British campaigns before her saw, “solving” the problem on the basis of educating the electorate about facts no longer cuts it politically in today’s world.
clarifying what i changed and why...
But as Clinton and the British (Remain makes no sense) campaigns before her (whoever she is) saw, “solving” the problem(whatever IT is) on the basis of educating the electorate(or WHOever they are) about facts no longer cuts it politically in today’s world.

Simply put, the red means, "something else needs to be done to change people's views of a thing, and facts alone are not good enough."
