Default Anybody else like series books as a young person?

I was really into Trixie Belden when I was a young un. Heck I still am.

I couldn't stand Nancy Drew.

(Trixie is a 14 year old version of Nancy Drew. She was more real, wasn't perfect and she actually aged in the books).

For me it was Little House books. My sister was big on Nancy Drew, the Bobbsey Twins and the Hardy Boys and a friend of mine was hooked on Cherry Ames Nurse books.

Time Machine & Choose Your Own Adventure books...

The kind of books that said "If you want to go with the pirate, turn to page 34...If you want to stay in town, go to page 56."...

Malory Towers. I read each one.

I am reading Moll Flanders now by Daniel Defoe. What a difference 45 years makes!
