Default Why did Afghanistan fall so quickly?

Because most of the fighters weren't that far from the koran. Or from the Taliban ideology. Most were probably just basically paid mercenaries for the U.S. And their government only existed because we propped it up. Though better than Trump, Biden is an idiot. He should have seen it coming and started pulling out U.S. citizens earlier. As it is now, anybody wanting to get to their airport has to pass through Taliban checkpoints. I also saw a video of large stacks of packages of $100 dollar bills that the Taliban now have. Along with evacuating U.S. citizens earlier, he could have done something about moving those massive amounts of cash.

Biden handled this better than Trump, how? After 8 years of Obama Biden failing to get out of Afghanistan ignoring US casualties and restricting US combat operations to those approved by Pentagon lawyers Joe Biden claimed he knew the situation from "kabul to Kandahar". Just last week he assured us that a Taliban takeover wasn't inevitable and later claimed his administration had planned for all contingencies including the collapse he carelessly engineered.

Trump's so-called inferior handling of the Afghanistan situation had resulted in a relatively stable country in which no American troops had been killed in hostile action for more than a year while troop levels were reduced to around 2,500.

Biden the expert was unable to garner support from our allies with his fabled foreign policy expertise. Guided by his crew of bungling State department fantiscists and military leadership reduced to critical race theory navel gazing he couldn't even adopt the simple expediency of waiting for fighting season to end before his catastrophic decree of surrender.

Better than Trump now has twice or more the number of troops deployed in country begging the Taliban to let thousands of American hostages and friendlies go.
