legally trump can do that but like the big baby in the candy store sometimes its bad to dip into each and every government agency or organization just for campaign pizzaz. and it doesnt matter what you or I think about the giving of the medal. it may be one given routinely for prosecuting a set number of cases or some reason we will never know. its not ours to judge and except in some fantastical circumstance the president should not judge what was already judged. you don't take medals away from service members you dont like or that do their job. this was their job. why do you take up for this azz ole' and always seek excuses for him?

The "NAVY" Regional Legal Service Office is not "the NAVY"? I'm Not sure how that works cnredd. They received "Navy Achievement Medals" It is the Navy. If it was civilian then the Trump would have ZERO authority to recommend removal of the medals. And Medals are often recommended and granted by people in the the same units/areas... becasue they are the one's who see what the people did that was meritorious. Quote:
So you're saying the Navy Seal was actually GUILTY, and the Prosecutor did a poor job in not getting convictions? So they don't deserve medals. Or are you Saying that Navy Seal was INNOCENT and the Prosecutor did a poor job becasue he could not convict an innocent man? So they don't deserve medals. I'm not sure which way you're leaning here.

I do think he has done some things that other presidents have only talked about. And he has made some excellent appointments to the federal courts. But he is not some sort of secular god. As far as the matter at hand is concerned, I was not previously aware of it. If it transpired exactly as stated, then it is certainly indefensible.
