Default Pentagon chief of staff resigns

Quote:
The Department of Defense's chief of staff Rear Adm. Kevin Sweeney has resigned, according to a statement.

Sweeney said in a brief statement that he planned to return to the private sector, giving no reason for his departure. His exit comes just days after Secretary of Defense James Mattis, for whom Sweeney previously served, left the agency after announcing his resignation earlier in the month.

"After two years in the Pentagon, I've decided the time is right to return to the private sector. It has been an honor to serve again alongside the men and women of the Department of Defense," Sweeney said in his announcement.

His resignation also followed that of another top Mattis ally, Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White, who announced her resignation at the end of December.

Well first of all military officer is suppose to be political involved. The current pres party decides it for so many in the military.

This wasn't till the turn of the century or just before leadership got political involved.

Think about this. The powers behind the face of govt.. Well I know govts have to consider the population growth..

They might have a long range plan with ending most might not like.

Any other thoughts anyone... :shurg

Unless you have a magic ball telling you these people's innermost thoughts, you have no idea why they resigned.

It could have been Trump.
It could have been the overall political turmoil caused by the clash of Trump and the Democrats.
It could have been something we know nothing about, and the rats are leaving a sinking ship.

It could have been....
It could have been....
It could have been....
It could have been....
It could have been....

So unless you know something in absolute, your assumptions, are assumptions, and nothing more.....

That is chaotic for the country and no doubt the administration.

Yes, it does have a record setting turnover, which causes disruption in the administration. But what else does it do? Come on, you know the answer, but you just don't want to say it.....

Now, back to the actual question.... just because it happened, it doesn't tell us WHY. So guessing, doesn't mean diddly squat. Holding it up as 'see? SEE?' doesn't prove a point until we know why.

*sigh*

His inner circle of lemmings, those that have been fired and those who haven't left yet...

Yes, it's that pathetic….

Also yes it's on the administration that we are losing competent people. I don't know if the Pentagon promotes within but if so thank God. Because very often competence is replaced by yes men and inexperience.
