Yep, sad but true

......Nixon's newly revealed records show for certain that in 1968, as a presidential candidate, he ordered Anna Chennault, his liaison to the South Vietnam government, to persuade them to refuse a cease-fire being brokered by President Lyndon Johnson.
Nixon's interference with these negotiations violated President John Adams's 1797 Logan Act, banning private citizens from intruding into official government negotiations with a foreign nation...
...Nixon's sabotage of the Vietnam peace talks was confirmed by transcripts of FBI wiretaps. On November 2, 1968, LBJ received an FBI report saying Chernnault told the South Vietnamese ambassador that "she had received a message from her boss: saying the Vietnamese should "hold on, we are gonna win."...

... in 1973, Kissinger was given the Nobel Peace Prize for negotiating the same settlement he helped sabotage in 1968....
But i have to say my problem here with hartman's take on this is that the democrats hands appear to be clean after what he reveals here.

LBJ also monkeyed with elections in Texas and elsewhere. Had federal laws changed to try and keep preachers from influencing elections, expressed plans to manipulated the black vote, and frankly i'm not completely sure that he did NOT have anything to do with the death of JFK and RFK.
I'd mention the shady things the Clinton's have been involved with but they've been dealt with elsewhere and i'm not sure you're open to hearing anything as extreme as what Hartman's presented here about Nixon, Reagan and the Bush presented about the Clinton's.
FDR and Turman's hands aren't clean either frankly. There's good evidence that FDR knew about the pearl harbor attack... as well as instigated the beef.

so yeah American politics isn't as advertised.

And the fact that LBJ NEVER told anyone also goes to disprove the ANTI-conspiracy THEORY that people in the OTHER party would always TELL if it's so bad.

yeah hartman is extremely liberal. beyond democrat. I only posted it because of the tape.
the point however that hartman makes, is a dreamy sad what if. I like to indulge in those occasionally. This time its because I have often wished I could take my Reagan vote back.
