This far out, and without no confirmed candidate at this point, I put little faith in polls. I suspect the first "Trump can't possibly win" poll results were announced before Trump did. The "It's Hillary's turn" several years earlier.

My bet is that when we walk into the booths next November a lot of people will have changed their minds. Some several times. Whether they move from Trump, Hillary, or Sanders, to Trump. Hillary, or Sanders remains to be determined in the ultimate poll in November.

It's fun to speculate though.

I might add to the statement that started this thread... Most all of D. Trumps, policies ideas, thoughts on what need doing etc., are stupid as they are meant to drive the voters into his camp.

And as we know the American voters (for the most part) are to begin with.. One has to be after 4 years of the last go around...... In which they found out they elected people whom spoke lies and never were going to keep them campaigner promises.....

So at last they are angry with all these lies..... Stop, read what Trump (for that matter each still in the running has said and promised) and you will see the lies and unbroken promises, which will become broken promises to come.

Exactly, and that is precisely what happened here last year in our general election. David Cameron never thought he would win, but he did. People are revved up by the candidate who comes along, guns a blazing (as it were), but on the day the electorate are likely to play safe, although with some elections, whichever country they are held, the playing safe candidate is not necessarily what the country needs.
