Some creative thinking, the night skies and Google Maps helped this Canadian teen discover a massive hidden Mayan city.

Passionately interested in the Mayan civilization for years, William Gadoury, noticed that the cities lined up just right with 22 constellations no scientist has every made this link before.

Gadoury checked a 23rd constellation that was near the Yucatan jungle in Mexico, and discovered a lost, hidden Mayan city underneath the stars.
Smart kid.

"No scientist has every made this link before."

The author of the link should be arrested before he butchers the English language some more.

The kid used the star chart featuring Orion, the same constellation supposedly used by the ancient Egyptians to lay out the Great Pyramid and its partners, and other structures around it. I smell a tall tale here somewhere. My source for my opinion is based on my reading of other sources, but here is one:

I agree writers today have to get a story out fast sometimes to the detriment of good journalism. :(
evidently the structure is so similar to others found covered with forest that archaeology took notice.
