Few combat veterans like to remember the war they were a part of. Literally all suffer to some degree from PTSD because nothing even comes close by comparison to the trama of war. For most it is not completely debilitating so they suffer quietly in silence often not even realizing how deeply they suffer.

Audie Murphy, the most decorated soldier of WW II, is the poster child for PTSD as he suffered every day of his life from it.

There is something that few people seem to consider and that is there are no winners in war. There is a loser but no winner. The cost paid by those that fight the war is so great that we can never consider the non-loser to be a winner.

By analogy war is like the "Thrilla in Manila" that was the third and final boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. Ali "won" the fight by TKO but that fight literally destroyed both men physically forever.

D-Day is a somber day for me as I remember all of those that fought there, as well as all that fought in WW II and every war that has ever been fought. It even goes beyond those soldiers that fight in the war as war affects not just them but very often their families and loved ones as well. The only people that are unscathed by war are those that don't fight the wars.

Someone once said that if the politicans were always placed in the front lines then we would have no wars and that is probably true.

Based upon the corruption, brutality, inhumanity, immorality, dishonesty, and incompetence of the Trump administration the White House is the dirtiest house in America and there's no known cleanser that with remove the stains of the Trump Administration.
