The Associated Press: Iran warns US carrier: Don't come back to Gulf


Gen. Ataollah Salehi spoke as a 10-day Iranian naval exercise ended near the Strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Gulf. Iranian officials have said the drill aimed to show that Iran could close the vital oil passage, as it has threatened to do if the United States enacts strong new sanctions over Iran's nuclear program.


For those of you who don't get it, this is the sort of thing the more historically aware of us predicted as a certainty when the country elected a rather effete fellow with a background in little other than complaining about perceived injustices and mouthing silly socacilaist nonsense as their supreme military commander. That is people who see themselves as lions, now see us at best as aging, flabby competitors, or more likely as fatted sheep.

If you don't see this, your need for instruction in the history of nations and their wars is extreme. and all the nice-talk kn the world isn't going to change this by one single, lightweight molecule.

I hope President Imonamadjihad has a glass-bottomed boat with which to inspect his navy after a decisive confrontation between the insane asylum and America. Never mind the current commander-in-chief.

Doncha worry, we'll all have power provided by windmills and solar cells to power our cars so we can drive down to the foodstamp distribution center. Thanks to the President's enlightened foriegn policy and dedication to the cause of raising gas and oil prices to "compete" with those in Europe we'll all be happy dependents on Uncle Sugar's charity.

Oh, I doubt he has much to worry about.

Man, Im so tired of having to have a new enemy every couple years. Its ridiculous how easy Americans are duped year after year after year into being afraid of someone else.
