Mark your calendar now for the big data days of 2012

Our solar system will experience the galactic plane order, and nothing more. Seems like a good date for enterprising people to make lots of money off the"survivors".

Could any of you explain to me how something near the end of next year counts as History?

Yea sure one could use the simple fact the Myan's were the ones we have this bit of the total of all their writings.

But it might just be once this date come/tomorrow will start the 14th cycle... And it goes on for another thousands of years.

Thank the Spanish and their Church for the lack of more info... Note I am inquring thats all.

29 Dec.`11 - Each year, Jan. 1 falls on a different day of the week, and the entire following year shifts accordingly. Schools, sports teams, businesses and banks spend many hours and millions of dollars calculating on what day of the week certain dates will fall, to schedule holidays and set interest rates.

They have a proposal to make schedules simpler: a permanent calendar in which each 12-month period is exactly as the year before, on into perpetuity. Hanke, who has helped seven countries introduce new currencies, estimates the change could save "roughly $130 billion" merely by decreasing the chance of interest-calculation errors resulting from incorrectly counting the number of days in a given month.

There have been multiple proposals to change the calendar since the world began to shift from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar starting in 1582. Most suffer from what Henry calls "the Sabbath problem." Many religions require people to labor for six days but keep the seventh holy. Proposed calendars that break up the seven-day cycle destroy the count, meaning people could end up working on a day they should devote to spiritual matters. "That's unacceptable to millions of believers," Henry says. "You can't skip a day because then you're off kilter."

Most people actually like having birthdays, holidays and sporting events move around, says David Finkleman, an astro-dynamicist at the Center for Space Standards and Innovation in Colorado Springs. Aside from that, creating a permanent calendar is "impossible," he says. The problem is that the period it takes the Earth to rotate on its axis (a day) and around the sun (a year) changes all the time and the change isn't predictable. Even more confounding, none of the periods divides evenly into another, he says. "The Lord didn't put things together synchronously," Finkleman says.

Nothing wrong with us being off. It would screw us up. Too much trouble. Measurements are only to help us frame our existence...

B.S. is all it is. And any believer would tell you so. As not one item need to be done is covered by this calendar.

1.. The spirit of the anti-christ hasn't entered the body of any one man, yet.

2.. There is NO peace deal made by the man who will have the spirit of the anti-christ and Israel.
Which would be for a period of 7 years. With the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple on the very site of the 3rd holy place for the Muslims which always have to have more than Israel... One

and very hate filled race these Muslims/Arabs are.

Yet that will not change a thing, only the one who is filled with the spirit of the anti-christ will change things.

So as I see it this isn't but a turn of an old cycle to a new one starting on Dec. 22, 2012...

And that is the facts.. Which like with many other things one can believe it or not...

Many people point to the end of the Mayan Long Count calendar on Dec. 21, 2012 as evidence of the coming apocalypse, but astronomers have been quick to stress that there is nothing to be concerned about.

According to the ancient Mayan calendar, next year's winter solstice marks the end of a 144,000-day cycle. This cycle, which begins at the mythical Maya creation date, has already been repeated 12 times. The 13th will end in 2012, capping a full 5,200-year Mayan cycle of creation.

Rogue planet Nibiru?

One fear is that a rogue planet that has been dubbed "Nibiru" or "Planet X" is supposedly aimed at Earth. Self-proclaimed Nibiru expert Nancy Lieder, who says she is in contact with the aliens from Zeta Reticuli, first said Nibiru would cause widespread disaster in May 2003, only to change it to Dec. 21, 2012.

There is, however, no evidence that Nibiru is real.

"Nibiru is ridiculous because it doesn't exist — it never existed as anything other than a figment of the imagination by pseudo-scientists who don't seem bothered by a complete lack of evidence," astronomer Don Yeomans, manager of NASA's Near-Earth Object program office at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., told SPACE.com.

There is no basis for the claim that it might be lurking behind the sun, as it could not have hidden from observation until now, Yeomans said. If such a planet was headed toward Earth by Dec. 21, 2012, it would already be visible to the naked eye.
