I can't help but think the two girls in the shower pretty much put the nail in the casket.
If some vice-president of a company had tried that in a civilian job, they would have been canned. No question.
Asking subordinate employees to engage in that type of behavior for video-tape, to be broadcast to the crew?
Even if they volunteered, it would have been wildly inappropriate.

If it had been people on the same level video-taping consenting adults with no coercion? Different story.

Personally I don't see what the BFD is. It was a video meant to be humorous, sarcastic, and lighten the mood on the ship. It succeeded.

AND.... everyone knew about it 4 years ago when it happened. It was fine and dandy then. Suddenly it's not? Bull****, IMO.

It isn't because the videos were lewd. Hell, pretty much everything is about sex these days. It was because he made fun of gays and they are a protected class. If he would have made fun of Christians or conservatives there wouldn't have been an issue. Typical double-standard.

I'll bet he got nailed for poking fun at gays.

Anyone who knows anything about the Navy, knows there's a lot of silliness to relieve boredom.

Anyone aboard ship who was so offended by this stuff, is too lilly-livered to be in the military. Period.

I'm right put out with the Virginian Pilot-Ledger Star - my former hometown paper - for facilitating this hatchet job.

I didn't really see anything making fun of homosexuals in that video.

That's the thing. Within the Navy it was no big deal.

But the minute the VP-LS got it published, the screaming, turd throwing, monkeys in our hypersensitive PC society went bat****, and the higher ups in the Navy hung this captain out to dry.

What I want to know is: who leaked the videos to the VP-LS?
Who was the passive-aggressive pouting sneaky little dirt-bag that sacked a good leader's career?

Bet he or she, is hiding in the shadows, pretending to be surprised.

If you read news articles, they'll state it was about women in the shower.

But, whatever...


Do you not see the legal issues with a superior filming two subordinates in the shower?
If this had been in the corporate world with a Walgreens Vice-President doing the same video with two women cashiers in the shower, we wouldn't be having this discussion...
