I saw a program/doc on this topic & I think it was PBS or discovery were he is looking for the exact thing, Muslims helping/saving Jews from the holocaust..

Anyway I can not recall the details now but I believe he found a family in North Africa that remembers their forefathers saving some & them still honoring it..

I hope this exhibit will land in Boise for a stop. I'd love to go see it.

Why do you find it so interesting, if I may ask??

One I love history. And I was thinking about making a date with my daughter to go. She saw the Anne Frank presentation when it came through. And I guess Boise is a place for thoughtful experiences. There is an interpretive piece of art work across from the Library that moved me very much. Besides it's been ages since I've been to a museum or art exhibit. It'll be something to look forward to for sure!

I love history as well as it is the foundation of how & why things are as they are today......

We both have many interests. However we share an experience of reading Anne Frank and having almost exactly the same experience. We each read it as children, and beforehand knew nothing of the history of it. So when the diary ended abruptly and there was the follow up explanation at the end we had both kind of identified so much with Anne that we were heart broken.

We both love live plays. She was in some paid and volunteer before she married. And she took me to see Damn Yankees. A wonderful experience for me as I had not previously seen it.

And to boot a lot of time has brought a lot of change in the way many think today..

That was then this is today... Yes this is one of the good things to come out of WWII..

And one of the better things the Arts have done. But both have done a lot worst over the times, are we to forget that?

I wish all could and start over with the intent of being at peace world wide.

Does anyone think that will bear fruit? I know I doubt it will.

As for the Arts maybe if there was some knowledge of what was to come from the so called artist before getting the funds we would have more like this. And not some of what has been funded.

One can argue many have perpetrated atrocities in this world's history. Romans decimated Celts, Catholics killed Protestants who killed Catholics; Egyptians loved then later killed Jews...but this is a remembrance of a great good that was wrought.
And in the words of one of the promoters of the tour: “The exhibition gives the message that no one should stand by during human suffering”

That is the over all message here, I think.
