Americans infected with coronavirus or in quarantine can still vote in person, CDC says

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gave the green light for coronavirus-positive voters to cast a ballot in person on Election Day — “regardless of whether they are sick or in quarantine.”

The new guidance, published Sunday on the agency’s website, says Americans “have the right to vote” no matter their medical condition, but it urges those who are infected to take precautions to prevent infecting those around them.

“Voters who are sick or in quarantine should take steps to protect poll workers and other voters,” the updated guidelines state. “This includes wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet away from others, and washing your hands or using hand sanitizer before and after voting.”

You should not vote in person if you have the virus or are in quarantine, but you legally have the right to be
A. stupid, and

I imagine that in their wildest dreams they would never have encouraged it or at least without strong guidelines along with the statement, if not for the idiots occupying the whitehouse.

I am saying that if this report is true, Trump's minions or Trump himself made them put that out there to be another technically legal thing that they should not do.

Salt, bottom line is, the CDC rules are ARBITRARY.
"STAY HOME! ...um unless you have a constitutional right to uh well... vote.. "

Look, common sense says anyone that KNOWS they are sick with the virus, (practically ANY contagious virus) should stay home.
the CDC, Facui and gov't recommendations should NOT be taken as the gospel truth. People need to make their own medical decisions based on the best info they can find becasue the gov't is talking out of both sides of it's mouth.
Even based on what you say Salt, the gov't experts/pronouncements can't be trusted becasue you say they are acting out of fear of their bosses. NOT on the science. Bosses, be they at the White house or the heads of the CDC or wherever. The CDC workers are doing what will keep their jobs. Why should we ever trust what they say?

BTW you might want to also note that they admit that most people have only a mild sickness that require ZERO medical intervention. Mainly rest.
That's one item that's been consistent from various sources.
