![]() This evening, my wife--who is a member of the board at our condominium complex--had been scheduled to be at a special meeting of the board.
However, that was changed, at the last minute, to a "virtual" meeting, by telephone. The reason: Why, it was just impossible to seat everyone in such a small space as we have available, with the proper etiquette (a.k.a. "social distancing"). I think if I never hear the word "virtual" again, it will be too soon. Let me put it this way: I am almost 73 years of age; so I really cannot reasonably expect to live for too many more years. And I would certainly prefer that I should not spend a large portion of that time "social distancing," wearing a mask, and otherwise running away from the world. After all, a houseplant is pretty safe. But I would really not wish to be the rough equivalent of a philodendron.

![]() Yeah Sam. After all, if you would happen to contract this virus, you only have about a 96% chance of surviving it at your age. You are roughly the same age as President Trump and he came through it just fine.
We all need to quit listening to the fear mongers. We can all take precautions with the most important being that if you have symptoms, stay out of public places, cover your nose and mouth if you cough or sneeze and generally practice good hygiene. If all of this sounds familiar, that is because it is what rational people have been advising for years. A little common sense goes a long way.

![]() I like what President Trump said to Sleepy Joe about masks. To paraphrase, "You wear a mask all the time Joe, and stay in your basement where it is safe.
A President cannot do that." ![]()

![]() Like I said: I would not wish to be the rough equivalent of a houseplant.
No, I would far rather take the chance--and a rather small one, at that--of something disastrous happening, than to merely exist without really living...

my neighbor's friend got it twice. My son's friend got it twice (he's in his 50's), thee second time gave him a heart attack (no previous heart ailments. My relative in Florida almost died after 8 days of diarrhea and then not being able to breath. She is 62, without insurance whether too costly at work or they don't offer it I don't know. many who pass it on do not have symptoms. I'm sure whoever these people got it from weren't having any. Take it seriously. Your life and the lives of others may depend on it.
