Measles cases on the rise in the United States

Quote:
Measles was thought to be eliminated in the U.S. in 2000, but according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are 19 states that have reported cases of measles this year. Those states are: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
19 states reported measles cases.
if you look at that list of states above and the list below of the 19 states with the highest population of illegal immigrants you might see some similarities.

"Measles in the United States, 2016
•86 cases reported from 19 states; 4 outbreaks
•97% cases import-associated
Of the 18 direct importations, 12 were U.S. residents, 6 were foreign visitors
•73% were outbreak-related
•Outbreaks ranged in size from 6 to 32 cases
•Cases among U.S. residents (N=55)
•56% unvaccinated
•18% unknown vaccination status
26% vaccinated..."

Number of death is not stated, and i'm assuming the number was ZERO, simple becasue the last death in the US. I can find was in 2013 and that death was from the complication of Pneumonia.... and was that the 1st death since 12 years prior. and even the deaths 12 year prior apparently weren't well confirmed.

Also something interesting to note. from a CNN article no less.
...Supplements of vitamin A, which supports the immune system and the eyes, have been shown to reduce the number of deaths from measles by 50%, WHO reports. A measles infection can cause low vitamin A levels even in well-nourished kids, so supplements can help restore normal levels as the body heals, while helping prevent eye damage and blindness. Even children in the best of health who are diagnosed with measles should receive two doses of vitamin A supplements 24 hours apart, according to WHO....

Putting all the info in realistic perspective rather than BS scaremongering is one way to help skeptics take Pro-Vaxxers seriously.
the mockery and overblown claims of effectiveness, and threats of high chances of imminent death without the angelic vaccines just begs for some honest disclaimers of not outright refutation from people who think critically.

Not saying that the measles vaccines caused those thousands of injuries. It could have been another one or a mixer of the other dozen+.
Not saying don't vaccinate, just putting it in realistic perspective...
rather than assuming vaccines are ALL/ONLY good news.

In science that what you do... that's what you KEEP doing... to see what might be better.
Seems to me it's Pro-vaxxers,(?) Vacine Fascist(?) Drug Pushers (?) that dismiss and mock anything that brings any hint of question as to the efficacy of vaccines. Not even entertaining the concept that anything less than the current gov't mandated standards might be an option.
I do think the anti-vaxxers have some legitimate concerns. Because I think its a lie to say vaccines are completely safe. Because no drug is completely safe and every drug has potential harmful side effects. Even something as simple as aspirin has potential harmful side effects. And when was the last time anyone seen a drug ad and said the drug was completely safe? Never. Some of those drug ads make me wonder why any one would want to take that drug in the first place with all the potential side effects they list.

We do know some pet vaccines can cancer in pets.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaccin...ciated_sarcoma

A vaccine-associated sarcoma (VAS) or feline injection-site sarcoma (FISS) is a type of malignant tumor found in cats (and often, dogs and ferrets) which has been linked to certain vaccines. VAS has become a concern for veterinarians and cat owners alike and has resulted in changes in recommended vaccine protocols. These sarcomas have been most commonly associated with rabies and feline leukemia virus vaccines, but other vaccines and injected medications have also been implicated.[1]

IMO, the biggest flag comes from lawsuit immunity granted to the vaccine companies.

'Here, permit us to inject a substance into your body, that may or may not work, may or may not cause side effects bad enough to kill you, and you can't hold us responsible for any outcome.'

Yeah, okay.

why I've been in favor of immunization without question of citizenship. just makes sense to protect our population.

It would make more sense to deny illegal entry into our country in the first place instead of trying to clean up the mess illegal immigrants create.
