CDC confirms 62 cases of polio-like illness across US

Jessie Hellmann 9 hrs ago.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating 127 suspected cases of a polio-like condition that mostly affects children.
The CDC said that 62 of those cases have been confirmed in 22 states in 2018.

Acute flaccid myelitis (AFM) is a rare but serious condition that can cause paralysis, drawing comparisons to polio.
AFM primarily impacts the nervous system and weakens muscles.
There isn't a cure for AFM and the CDC does not yet know its long-term impacts.

But it doesn't say WHERE those children come from...:no

Were they born here? Or did they come from other countries (Possibly third world)?...:confused

What is the lowest common denominator for these people? The article and the statements made by the CDC are so vague that one has to wonder if it is intentional.... hmmmm….. ;)

CNN got close while not actually connecting the dots.

AFM this year have tested positive for EV A71, a rare type of enterovirus not usually seen in the US, rather in Asia and other parts of the world,

Of course it is.

And then goes on to say that the recent outbreak started in 2014.

Of course it did.

Acute flaccid myelitis (AFM) is associated wit EV A71.

Yet we allow, even encourage, children to enter our country with almost vetting and the left screams when a child is held for a couple days.

Exactly. There is a reason why the United States would quarantine families on Ellis Island and other ports of entry during the late 1800's and early 1900's. It was to prevent infectious diseases from spreading around the country.
