Another spam post from you. A video with no attempt by you with no attempt to explain the content.

Let me help, although you ought to do it yourself.

We can add 30 million more people to the Medicare rolls but save money and through magic create doctors, personnel and facilities to provide for them at no no additional cost. Ignore the fact that new Medicaid patients use the ER for primary care at an increased rate, we'll save money by cutting out greedy insurance companies, how much is never disclosed, and by destroying innovation for new drugs. Hurrah.;)

According to the narrator we can also add vision and dental coverage as well as eliminate deductables and copays for everyone including the additional 30 million. We can all move to the big rock candy mountain with no worries about tooth decay, we get free dental. ;)

Just as ER usage under the PPACA was supposed to dramatically drop, the reality of it paints a different picture.

Providing 'medicare for all' is another dream with the same outcome.

I stand by the statements I have made through the years - providing 'insurance', or a program doesn't actually provide 'care'. Increase the points of access, such as sliding scale clinics and immediate care facilities instead of ERs, and then people will actually have healthcare.

No, we just don't want to hand over our liberty to a "benevolent" gov't to take care of us. If we could get the gov't out of the HC business, competition would take over and drive costs down.

But you won't even listen to reason, so there is no use in explaining it again.

And what, praytell, is the PPACA? The FORCIBLE demand that the people pay money to insurance companies.

What would be Medicare for all? The FORCIBLE demand that the people pay money to the government.

You apparently haven't learned a thing, and more is the sorrow for you.

I know exactly how to reduce the cost of healthcare.

Let doctors and hospitals refuse to treat any person that doesn't have the means to pay for their care. Be that having medical insurance or simply just paying out of pocket.
Of course, doctors with a private practice are more than welcome to provide their services for free is they so desire.

I ask everybody that is not in the medical profession,
do you think it would be right for you to be forced to provide your services and skill to anybody that showed up on your doorstep requesting your services if they can't pay you for your services and skills?
Tell me your profession and tell me that you would provide your services for free for people that failed to knowingly pay for your services simply because they could.

Back in the 1600's, 1700's and 1800's we had a term for forcing a person to perform labor and services for free. It was called slavery. The 13th amendment was supposed to abolish slavery.

Last I looked, nobody can walk into the doughnut shop and get free doughnuts. We don't enslave the doughnut maker because of his skill.

Exactly! :thumbsup Treating people who cannot pay drives up the costs for everyone else and incentivizes people to not try and get a job or do what's necessary to improve their financial situation. This government intervention which mandates that hospitals treat everyone has greatly contributed to the high costs of healthcare, because those who can pay are being stuck with high prices to subsidize those who don't. This will also prevent illegal invaders from getting free care and remove some of their incentive to cross our borders and to remain here.

The major problem with healthcare costs in general are that we have a system where a 3rd party is paying the bill, so cost is of no concern for the one receiving the care.
