The hormone levels in a man's body changes over time, and generally about mid-age, starts to decline. Some argue that the decline is unhealthy and leads to decreased activity and such. Others argue that it's just a natural progression and tough noogies.

Well, women
can't really "use hormone replacement therapy", from what I understand.
It causes cancer, and doctors are no longer willing to prescribe it.
Even in the past, it was mainly prescribed only as a temporary, interim measure to help some women cope with difficult symptoms during the actual process of menopause (for six months or a year).
Now, most doctors won't even prescribe it on that basis; it's just too dangerous. They tell women to try herbal remedies, or just suck it up.
