The democrats of yesteryear are 180 degrees off the democrats of today.

Since when did you ever think that all democrat voters are anti-gun.....?

That has been a big lie for far too long....

The same goes for abortion....

Republican First Lady's Nancy Reagan and Laura Bush were both pro-choice....

Most Democrats, most people, aren't anti-gun. It's ridiculous. I think Biden is about as safely "left" as you can get on guns, and even his plan does nothing to diminish our right to self-defense.

The elected Democrats are the ones running against the NRA at every opportunity. Their leadership has put forth legislation at every opportunity, to restrict gun rights as much as they believe possible.

While your average, everyday democrat on the street may not necessarily agree with these policies, they continue to vote for those that do. By extension, one would begin to believe that Democrats in general, favor more onerous gun restrictions that would seriously damage our Constitutional rights.

You are "technically" correct...

2018...Washington Post by way of YouGov, so it's not some rightwing thing...

39% is a HUGE chunk of the Democrat Party...

One in five Americans wants the Second Amendment to be repealed, national survey finds

And over THREE-FOURTHS of Democrats want to modify the 2nd Amendment to have greater RESTRICTIONS...

So "no"...ALL Democrats aren't anti-2nd Amendment...Just an overwhelming majority...

Yep. Nitwits who believe a baseball bat or butter knife for home defense is a kinder, safer way to protect your loved ones need to be shown the light, be they democrat, republican, or independent.

He has voted to ban semiautomatic firearms under the guise of an assault weapons ban.He supports frivolous lawsuits against gun manufacturers. He voted to ban 10 to 30 round standard capacity magazines under the guise of a high capacity magazine ban. He still supports those things. So the idea that he is safely left on guns is absurd. If you are pro-gun then you don't vote for Biden.

Biden certainly does want to diminish the second amendment. Last August when asked if he'd favor confiscation

Quote:
Bingo, you’re right if you have an assault weapon," Biden replied. "The fact of the matter is they should be illegal, period. Look, the Second Amendment doesn’t say you can’t restrict the kinds of weapons people can own."

"What I would do is try to — I would institute a national buy back program and I would move in the direction of making sure that that, in fact, was what we tried to do, get them off the street,"
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.was...ts%3f_amp=true

Of course "assault weapons" is a meaningless designation just like buy back isn't confiscation.

Make no mistake 99.9999% of Democrats want and would accept the forcible deprivation of guns from the citizenry.

What those numbers do is break them down . . . Those numbers mean that those Democrats are actually correct, they understand that the 2nd Amendment is a concrete impediment to their anti-gun desires and it needs to be erased or changed to do what they want to do.

It's the remainders who we need to watch . . .

They interpret the 2nd Amendment as having no individual protection (or it's a power of the government) so they don't feel the 2ndA needs removal or any alteration to fulfill their anti-gun desires . . . They are fine ignoring it.
