yeah, I support the constitution and most of the amendments have limits and regulation ya know for the low voltage crowd.
The exception is the second, which has no limits.

The first says "Congress shall make no law".

The second says "shall not be infringed".

All you have done is successfully demonstrated you don't understand how original, fundamental, fully retained rights 'work' and that you don't know the definition of "successfully".

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

could mean the national guard or the militias that fought in the early days of the Revolution. You would agree an insane person who is acting out should not have a gun. A drunk person should not have a gun. We already regulate guns so don't over think it.

I want people who post silly things like the second quote above to explain how the national guard, under the control of the dictator, will be ordered by the same dictator to restore the government to its constitutional form.

And the thing about not wanting an insane person or drunk person to have a gun is 100 percent feel good baloney. We do not live in a nanny government, no matter how much people like Beto or Biden or Warren or other similar doowahs bleat against it. The best thing to do is to lie down under your bed, and kiss your freedom good bye.

I meant the doowahs above can bleat all they want against "unsuitable" people having a firearm. It's against the law to misuse a weapon, so catch them undeniably in the act and shoot them on the spot.

The intention of the 2nd amendment is so that average people can have the necessary firepower and get together to be able to defend against invasions and our government should it become tyrannical. So the idea that the national guard being a militia is absurd.

Someone who is both insane and dangerous should be in the loony bin until they are deemed no longer dangerous.

You may want to educate yourself about WHO made up the Militia that is referred to in the 2nd Amendment.

HINT: It wasn't the National Guard.

maybe you never had a drunk family member kill another family member and go to prison making their mother suffer doubly. Good for you. But you can think can you not? You're not a robot, are you?

Sounds a lot like a call to arms to free us/keep us free from the British. That matter being settled you're on track to end the entire amendment. Better be careful.

hmm...too bad we don't have a system that helps us detect the mentally ill in society much until it is too late. You might wanna get working on that letter to your congressman on that subject.

Not making light of your story here, but look at it like this. If somebody in your vicinity is drunk on his ass and he's brandishing any weapon (never mind a firearm), the thinking thing to do is to disarm the ass hole. That does not mean you keep him disarmed, and unable to acquire another weapon when he is sober. That is what candy asses who are afraid of an armed society want to do with people here. I have a feeling this is falling on deaf ears, because you strike me as being 100 percent anti second amendment. If I were in your shoes, I would not bother trying to "enlighten" pro-gun people to the Kumbaya ways of the timid and unarmed.
