Democrats Promise Most Aggressive Gun Control Measure In Decades

I don't understand how someone can swear an oath to uphold the Constitution, then turn around and propose unconstitutional legislation. Every politician who violates this oath should be immediately removed from office.

Quote:

Democrats are promising they will pass the most aggressive gun-control infringement in decades when they become the House majority.
Fortunately we have a president who will not sign such legislation into law, and a Senate that won't go along with it, either, so why are the Dems wasting time in their high salaried-jobs with this nonsense?

Quote:

The effort is revitalized by an incoming class of pro-gun-control democrats who ousted at least 15 House Republicans with “A” National Rifle Association ratings, while the dems replacing them scored an “F.”

“This new majority is not going to be afraid of our shadow,” said Mike Thompson, chairman of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force. “We know that we’ve been elected to do a job, and we’re going to do it.”

These new representatives didn’t wait to mourn victims, they are ready to exploit tragedies so that the Second Amendment infringement will get one step closer to complete disarmament.

Opponents of nullifying the constitution say additional restrictions are ridiculous.

Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn (now Senator), was asked on Fox News what can be done to prevent gun violence like the Thousand Oaks shooting.

“What we do is say, how do we make certain that we protect the Second Amendment and protect our citizens?” Ms. Blackburn answered.
That's what I like to hear. :thumbsup I'm so glad that Blackburn beat out Bredeson. :)

Everytown for Gun Safety, the gun-control organization backed by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and a group founded by former Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords spent a combined $37 million in 2018.

“The biggest Second Amendment implication of the election is that the pro-Second Amendment majority in the U.S. Senate will continue to confirm pro-Second Amendment judges to the lower courts all the way to the Supreme Court,” one expert said.

Finding ways to disarm Americans is one of the key objectives of liberals, especially in California. They understand that an unarmed population is slaves.

Every time a maniac goes nuts and murders unarmed people, somehow that’s always the fault of the gun, not the person, according to many on the left.

The anti-gun sheep who voted them into office like to hear that Big Brother will protect them. Another lie from them won't bother them. Sort of like the battered spouse who gets showered with kisses and promises that the beating will not happen again.;)

Fight crime, people. Arm yourselves and shoot back, and tell the anti-gun weenies to go chew a bag of prunes.

I hope they do, none of the legislation has a snowballs chance in Phoenix of getting passed into law, but it will go a long ways toward seeing them out of the majority in the House again.
Democrats are amazingly self-destructive in this way, add gun control to some of the candidates I've seen mentioned for a possible presidential run and they're looking a shellacking.

One of the worst things a 2nd amendment advocate can do is assume the 2nd amendment is safe just because the politician voting for laws is a republican. Ronald Reagan whom many republicans act as though he is Republican Jesus signed a bill into law that banned machine guns made after 1986 and paved the way for the Brady with the list of prohibited persons in it under the guise of the Firearms Owner's Protection Act of 1986. He also supported the Brady assault weapons ban. Mitt Romney at the state level enacted an assault weapons ban, raised fees on gun owners and supported a 5 day waiting period just to purchase firearms. In 2000 Trump supported an assault weapons ban, waiting period, donated to anti-2nd amendment politicians, and he currently supports denying people with no due process on a terrorist watch list the right to keep and bear arms. Rick Scott raised the age to buy rifles from 18 to 21 and enacted a 3 day waiting period on gun sales. Mary Fallin vetoed a bill that would have allowed law abiding Oklahomans to carry a handgun without a permit.

Oh. don't get me wrong, I don't trust any politician when it comes to my rights (or anything else for that matter). I was simply commenting on the self-destructive nature of Dems, especially when they think they are winning and have momentum. Right now gun control (at least what these idiots want) is a non-starter, even with d's in the majority in the house what they want is unlikely to pass and it's DOA in the Senate. All they can do with this is piss off a large portion of their constituents.

Any measures would be the most aggressive in decades. There has been nothing to reign in any use of guns in decades. So where there's a decades-long yin ...here comes yang.

At the federal sure nothings being done. The state level is a different story.Anti-2nd amendment states have been enacting lots of gun control to a point that firearm ownership is practically a state granted privilege in those states instead of a Constitutional right.

Feinstein, Pelosi, Waters, Schumer and other left wingers who represent deep blue districts can scream for all the gun control they want because they represent Left wing loons in deep blue districts and therefore have no fear of losing their offices. However politicians in purple and red states don't want a repeat of 1994 where dems lost control of the house(dems controlled the house for nearly 40 years straight) and senate just 8 weeks after the Brady Bill being signed into law.

Blah-blah-blah!

Nothing to reign in any use, eh? An armed group with guns is not so easy for cowards to attack, as far as I can tell.

How about, nothing has been done differently by the moronic left, except keeping the anti-gun blather going on and on and on with

"WAAAAHHH!! Confiscate all guns!"

Fight crime. Shoot back!
