Like the man says. Seat belts? Every time I'm in a moving car. Fire extinguishers? 4 scattered around the house. Smoke alarms? Several. I even look both ways before I pull out in traffic.

I also generally am armed. Same reasons.
you must live in an urban area in which case I don't blame you

Actually, no. I don't worry about being 'victimized'. I carry so that I don't have to worry about it.

Tell me, Mikeyy, do you have a spare tire in your car? A box of Kleenex on your counter? A condom in your wallet?

Now think about why......

All those things apply in a rural area too, salty. Like where I live.

I never thought about it till politics demanded I think about it. I can't squeeze the trigger on a gun now so they can come and get me anytime.

Another choice I made. I live in a suburb in possibly the safest neighborhood in the Richmond area. But why does that matter? I carry when I go anywhere. Generally two weapons.

The only time I've pulled a weapon in defense was a dog attack on a 12 tear old boy in my front yard. Dog died, child lived.

Conclusion, there is no safe area.

I have lived in the country for 61 years. I never needed a gun. None of my parents or relatives ever needed one. My cousins, my kids. Nobody. This is a direct link to sensationalized news media. Or right wing fear. In my life it wasn't until the last 15 years or so that this has become a thing. It coincides with the rise of the Alt right media.

I live in the country, about as country as you can get, but stupid/drunk/angry people are everywhere, or can get there easily.

I work in Knoxville, and often leave work after dark. It would be stupid to not protect ones self in some manner. As I've said before, better to have and not need.

I'd carry a gun in all those places, and more. What's your point?

Wyoming House passes bill that does away with gun-free zones in schools – TheBlaze

On Wednesday, the Wyoming House of Representatives passed House Bill 194 in a landslide vote of 46-14.

The nature of the bill, known as “The School Safety and Security Act,” is such that it would allow school districts decide whether or not they would allow their employees to carry on school grounds, provided they have a concealed carry permit.

Its a step in the right direction. The reason I say a step in the right direction is because if the school district is ran by a bunch of left wing loons then the schools stay as gun free zones. Hopefully y the next step is a requirement that school districts allow employees to carry guns so that left wing loons can't keep the schools as gun free zones. When you consider everything we protect with guns, getting rid of gun free zones make sense.
