Default National sheriffs’ group, opposed to federal laws on guns and taxes, calls for defian

Quote:
Local police chiefs and sheriffs typically swear to enforce the laws of their state. But a group called the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association is intent on strictly enforcing their view of the U.S. Constitution and, according to a long new piece by the Center for Public Integrity, “its ambition is to encourage law enforcement officers to defy laws they decide themselves are illegal.”

It's about time we the people stand up to the establishment in Washington who have consistently taken more and more of our freedom and liberty away from us.

It's funny how you say that, but when polls don't bear your opinion out it doesn't matter...
Guns
"In general, do you think laws covering the sale of guns should be made more strict, less strict, or kept as they are now?"
57% - More Strict
10% - Less Strict
30% - Kept as they are
3% - Unsure / No answer

Regarding these guys...
The Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA, for short) is a US Peace Officer group that believes that sheriffs are "the highest executive authority in a county and therefore constitutionally empowered to be able to keep federal agents out of the county".[1]

Golly! I can make numbers about a poll also, complete with links, but what good would it do regarding anti-gun people?

I have only one thing to say about the 57 percent in that silly poll above. They seem like the type who want the government to limit the amount of toilet paper they can use to wipe themselves.

Not all pro-gun people are trained correctly in the use of firearms. Forget about the skill of anti-gun weenies. That is still nobody's business, except I defend any person's right to neutralize, by lethal means, any psycho who misuses a firearm with intent to cause injury or death to innocent people.

Without cranking up the statistical software this morning it would appear that this poll,Guns | Gallup Historical Trends, is showing trend lines opposite the poll you quoted.

You can nearly always find a poll somewhere to back up your position.
(There is probably a poll on that also)

Polls are an attempt to "herd the cattle."

One needs to be careful not to choke on his cud.

You show me ANY poll which asks the same question and comes out with the numbers you like.

Are you for freakin' real?
No. It does not disagree with me.
IT AGREES with me
.

Your link provides this:

This repeats the findings of my poll.
MOST want "More strict" gun control laws.
Some want "Kept as now". (BOTH of these groups repudiate the initial assessment.)
And the minority position (measly 11%) want less gun control laws.
The numbers match (with margin of error) what I gave.
Here is what I gave earlier:

Plus or minus margin of error, SAME NUMBERS

And of course, MrL mindlessly thanks you for your post without even bothering to read the link.

Can you show me WHERE in your poll link something supposedly disagreed with my actual assessment?
Or was your poll simply something to provide an excuse, even though it doesn't really...

The point is simple.
When it comes to "gun control", WE THE PEOPLE want MORE.
And instead of people lying about that, how about admitting that you just don't care what the majority opinion is...

Take a look at this poll that I just recently made up also. The link is myself.

The poll says that 98 percent of Americans want to be like Australia and other anti-gun weenie countries.

How many of you believe my poll?

Once again, the Left injects polls as if they have anything to do with anything...

ObamaCare has been around for over five years and hasn't had ONE DAY where it was approved by the majority...

Polls selectively matter...

The comment I replied to was: "WE THE PEOPLE run this country."
I was demonstrating that "WE THE PEOPLE" clearly WANT either more gun control, or at least maintained at current levels.

So while I appreciate your interest in recovering from that faux pas, trying to pretend it was "injected" is a b.s. comment on your part.

Apples and conveniently misrepresented oranges.
We can discuss polls showing how many WANT Obamacare or something even more proactive. Any poll which includes an interest in putting up something providing MORE than Obamacare currently does demonstrates what's really going on.
According to the survey, 52 percent of respondents said they believe Congress and the White House should “go through the law piece by piece to improve it.” Thirty percent support repealing the law entirely, and 13 percent want to keep the law as is.
Poll Finds That Most Voters Would Rather Change Than Repeal Obamacare

You forgot to complete your sentence "Polls selectively matter to Republicans"
You've been told many times that repealing the law outright (as opposed to being given the opportunity to keep and improve / change it) is a minority position.

Like I said.
SHOW ME ANY NATION-WIDE POLL on gun control legislation which asks the same question and gets different results.
You can't do it.

The nasty truth the right refuses to be honest about is that the majority do not side with the extreme views of some on gun control.
