Listening to C-Span, there seems to be a lot more Independents calling (the opinion phone line) in than I would expect. People sound like they're pretty fed up with the Republicats/Democans!
One man in particular, urged people to vote their conscience to influence the language of the other two candidates. He pointed out that Ross Perot is the only one who brought up
the deficit during the campaigns. The higher the percentage of third party voters, the better the chance real issue will be addressed.

My unscientific pole says it's a dead heat so far. Not much interest in Barr. A lot of people I talk to don't seem to know he is even running. That's the fault of the media, but the voters themselves should keep themselves informed.
I have decided on McCain. It's his election to lose as far as my vote is concerned. If he picks Lieberman, I will not like it. Would it change my vote? Hard to say.

I guess I'm still a rebel. Haven't decided on a candidate yet. Ron Paul was on the ballot in Oregon. But I live across the river now so I can't vote in either primary. I really don't think this year I wanted to vote in a primary, though. I'll just wait and see what the general public brings to the table. Currently reading A McCain memoir.

I have a great amount of respect for each of these candidates for president. That is one reason it is so difficult to make a decision. Obama and Hillary will be hard to beat if they team up. But I don't want to jump on a bandwagon out of pure emotion.
