It looks like we were down for 24 hours or so...

I took a little nap yesterday and when I just came back to my PC, I saw the Shoutbox still said "Loading"...I clicked the who's online and that worked, but when I tried to click the Shoutbox I got a database error...

In case it was me, I closed the browser to start from scratch...Then I couldn't connect to PW AT ALL...A reboot didn't help...

I couldn't dial into the server directly either...The fact that I couldn't even connect led me to believe that this was something on the host side...I wasn't even at my PC so no changes were being made at the time...

So I called the host support line and they opened up a ticket...That means the person I was talking to couldn't fix anything so she sent it off to second-level support...So there was nothing I could do but wait...

When I went to sleep this morning(I work overnights), the site was still down...So I went to sleep thinking I'll wake up and will call the supportline again to get an update, when lo and behold, we're back up!...

As of this writing, I haven't heard from the host as to what happened, so I'm still in the dark as to the cause, but since I couldn't even connect to the server, it looks like it really was on their side and it was something they had to do...

But it looks like whatever it was has been resolved (knock on wood)...If/when I get something from the host, I'll pass it along...

I hope that you raise hell with the server provider.

I'm waiting for an email saying they've closed the ticket and the resolution...

That's why it is soooooo important to track this problem down so that we can rectify the problem if it occurs again. Glad to see the site up again,I was going through withdrawal..

Me too! I YM'd KOS in a panic. I've really grown very attached to this site.

I am glad that things are back but I am having a problem. Every time I try to post it makes me log in.

I started to think that this forum was all done for... Glad to see it back up and running again.
