Default This Site Apparently Has ...

... tons of lurkers, far out of proportion to actual posters. I sat on my fat ass nearly all day today playing on the internet, popping in and out of here all day, and never saw less than 75 'guests', usually more than 80, and maybe 5 registered members max at a time. They can't all be bots and trackers, can they?

I dunno. I just didn't have much to say today. I am ready to vote.

A series of things are at work. One of our mods has had a family emergency. He is also usually a prolific poster. Big drop since the economy news has been under way. Don't think that is anything but a coincidence, but I noticed a few other forums were slow also.
Like every thing else maybe there is a lull before the holidays.

Well, I wasn't complaining, just commenting on how huge the traffic is compared to posters. I think the pace here is okay, it's just odd math at work here. At first I thought it was just a fluke, but it was that way all day , and night now, as well.

Well we were visited by "House of Representative" lurkers awhile back. Maybe they're keeping an eye on us.
Most of us come from other boards. Old flames (and pieces of coal) often hang around I know. And we had a bunch of spammers a few months ago. One of them keeps coming back with a new identity to play the same old game.
I linked and advertised, got the word out, as did the other mods and cnredd.

Anyway- that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

I hope to return to my normal prolific posting soon. Things are starting to come together on the home front and I have my DSL back...

I've also noticed a lot of "traffic" here on PW and that's great! Our threads are definitely being read. That said..I believe we are now going through a bit of voter burnout. Less than 7% are still undecided,I'm sure that many posters feel they are spinning their tires at this point and hopefully they are looking at the existing posts and forming "new" talking points...
