05/04/08 New Forum Software
I've just upgraded to the latest and greatest forum software release.
Look around...Notice a couple of differences (Check your profile...It's a whole new setup)...  If you find any problems, let me know in this thread...

One things added I'd like everyone to make use of...tags...
When starting a new thread, you'll see a place to put "tags" when submitting the thread... Tags are words that search engines look for when catagorizing pages, so when someone looks up certain words, threads with those tags would be added to their list. (As the software stipulates, tags should be separated by commas.) Example - If you start a thread on the election, you could add a whole bunch of words (tags) relative to it... "news, politics, election, Democrat, president, etc." It has a max of 25 you can add...I suggest as many as you can... This will help get the word out that we exist...

I've been a Mod at one forum, and Admin on another, and now an owner with this one...
One thing I've never done was add someone to my "Buddy List"... In this updated software you can request to be another member's friend (and that person can "approve" you and make it official)... That's the reason you'll see a "+" symbol next to a member's name...You approved them to be your friend... Funny...in all my years dealing with this software, I never knew that...JUST found that out... I thought I'd pass this along for those who were wondering what that "+" symbol meant also...
