Anyway, no drug, not even alcohol, causes the fundamental ills of society. If we're looking for the source of our troubles, we shouldn't test people for drugs, we should test them for stupidity, ignorance, greed and love of power.

I hope cnredd does not trade me to a rival forum. Should have included a no-trade clause in my contract upon signing here. As long as he does not send me to DU!

Thank heavens. This is the first forum I've ever encountered that's actually run in a sensible manner, where people aren't getting banned left and right.
I figure if you're banning anyone other than spambots on a daily basis, your rules are too strict to allow for productive political discussion!
We have better discussions here than anywhere else I've been on the internet, specifically because people are allowed to speak their mind, even extremists. Just because they're extreme doesn't mean we don't have to take their opinons into account when forming our own; after all, they vote too.

So kudos on not selling.

Probably because if they buy a large forum, they get a large collection of names and e-mail addresses, which are salable.

TheWebsiteBuyers.com is what I consider the Bain of the internet world. They invest in websites and blogs with high traffic and then load them up with advertisements to make money. They prefer sites which already have some form of Revenue such as Google ads, but if the traffic is high enough they will make offers for sites that don't have existing revenue.

I'm glad you're not selling, this place is the best I've found for a good debate, or just some place to speak without facing the ban hammer.
