Default Testing.

I tried posting in the thread about oil and corporate America, and when I hit send, I get a blank page. I'm checking right now to see if I can post ANYTHING.

That QuickLinks thing STILL only consistently works for me on this forum when I'm on the main index page, and right now I'm running a fresh XP with a fresh Firefox--if I'm anywhere but the main index page, clicking QuickLinks often does absolutely nothing.

I had the same thing happen earlier on a different thread. When I went back and tried again, it worked.

It was all the color codes in the person's post. It just gave me a blank screen when I tried quoting the colored text.

Here, I'll try again, this is just a test... NOPE, it won't post with these color codes in the text: WOW, it won't even post if I have the color codes inside CODE brackets!

I just ran through the quick links from this thread with no problems...

The most I can do is see if the software has an issue with Firefox (I use IE)...

I am also using Firefox so that may be the problem.

Try responding with quotes to this message:

Political Wrinkles - View Single Post - Congress, critical of tax breaks, lays into oil execs

When you try to actually send the message, it will give you a blank page.

Yup...

When I removed the colors (tedious!), the post worked...

Looks like there's a limit to colors in a response...

I brought up the issue at the software's website...

Now we wait to see what kind of response I get...

Consumption is indeed important in a free economy: particularly the freedom of consumers to buy their goods in unhampered markets. However, key to long-term economic growth is investment (savings), which is the opposite of consumption. Public policies that promote consumption — such as low interest rates — do so at the expense of savings. Less savings means less investments; an economy that does not save or invest will consume all of its resources and eventually end up bankrupt.-David Saied
