Default New Style?

The blue "texture" of the forum is known as the "default style"...It comes with the software...

But people like to switch colors and/or create "themes" with their styles...

If you go to the bottom left of the homepage, you'll see a scrollbar...

There are two options..."Default Style"(The original) & "Political Wrinkles"(newly created)...

I'm thinking of changing the forum to where the new red(d) style becomes the forum's default...New members and guests would see the new style instead of the old default...

I personally like it for new people to see, but I also understand how some people have that certain "comfort level" with the old style and will resist...

So I'll leave it to a public vote...

Keep in mind that members can always change back to the older style if they wish, so how YOU like to set your forum colors up isn't an issue...You can switch them back and forth as much as you want...

Should the forum be presented to the outside world with the newer style or just leave it with the original blue?...

I'll go along with whatever everyone else likes. But the blue is fine with me.

EDIT: After having just read the entire post, it's a non issue. Go ahead and make it red for newcomers if you want and those of us who like blue can just go and switch to the default.

On almost every forum, I always play around with the different styles...and always go back to the default.

It's just the easiest to read.

The blue "default" style works best for me,it's easier on my eyes and I'm a creature of habit. We will need a blue PW banner to go with the default style, the red and blue tend to clash a bit. Dat's just my opinion..

OK...Here's an update...

The new "Political Wrinkles" style is SOOOO different from the original "Default style", that constantly changing code to make things compliant in the newer style just sucks!...

So I'm looking into doing something diffrent...

I'm gonna create another style USING the Default style, then just change a couple of the colors...That way the code stays intact...

I know it can be done...I just have some research to do...

The default style will ALWAYS exist...I wouldn't want to force members to use it...

I just want something different to display as a forum...The "creatures of habit" can always revert back if they wish...

The Red [d] style is fine, being "different" is a good thing! So many forums use the "default blue" style..one has to look at the site address to make sure they are on the "right" forum...

Right...

I want a different "nuance"...Not a different style altogether...

The colors are a bit distracting in style #2 for me. I would soften them up a bit.

Yeah I do too they are just to strong for me I'd lighten them up by about 40% or so.
