I missed the original thread about this - what a terrific idea!

Are we going to all read the same book, and then discuss it (like a regular book club), or do mini-book reviews of books we're reading or....?

Cool beans!

I think we should allow the book club forum some lattitude,self-moderation,and see how it goes..

Cool beans!
Everyone read the same book and discuss it chapter by chapter. I'm guessing with an overall summery at the end of the reading.

IP and KOS have made a couple of great suggestions for reading...Although I'm leaning now more towards 'Secret Life of Bees' myself.

I'm just the guy who does the technical stuff...KOS, IP and Alicorn should move to the front of the stage and take over...

So if I think ALL the members are quality enough to be here in the first place, then they should also bve quality enough for this Book Club forum...

BTW - It's up...The Political Wrinkles Book Club is open for business...

LOL. Well guess that means we better all start agreeing on which book our little club will start off with then eh?

No, no, no, no....This is IP's brain child and KOS suggestions. I'm just agreeing with them both and looking forward to the experience myself.

This sounds more equitable to me. Damn it, the thing that I keep seeing are more and more people wanting power more and more power over others.

And I don't like it much.

How about we save that one till later...We better start out easy and small first...Just to get the toes wet first.

But hopefully, if things go well, we'll move up to the more 'meaty' book titles out there.

The Iranian Time Bomb

The Mullah Zealots' Quest for Destruction (Hardcover)

Michael Ledeen

Ledeen, a well-known conservative pundit on Iran, argues passionately for a bolder, better-reasoned American policy toward the Islamic republic. He presents compelling evidence that the Shiite regime has collaborated with al-Qaeda and other Sunni terrorist organizations, and that Iran's Supreme Leader has considered the goal of killing Westerners and Jews throughout the Middle East.
