I've noticed that too, the https is coming up as a default more often.

I'm guessing that the time is not far off when one will have to use https, and possibly be signed in to use most YouTube functions because of recent copyright cases.

It's annoying. Sometimes when I erase the s after http the video shows, and other times, like just now in the Random Video Thread, I erased the s but the video doesn't show, and the link has the s in, even though I erased it.

There is I suppose with some videos a choice of copying and pasting the title and finding an alternative version which occasionally works.

Sometimes I believe I have a problem associated with my computer that prevents the link from displaying properly. I believe that because sometimes it doesn't display properly but if I do a restart then it does.
