Mostly the writing style, though i am no fan of the washington compost.

It's not a defense. I was merely providing evidence that you had requested from another poster... Personally I could care less. I just remember it being said about Chelsea and thinking it inappropriate, and I think that any attacks on Palin's children are inappropriate. I just believe that it has a history of being done and we shouldn't be shocked.

How does Rush Limbaugh insulting Chelsea Clinton make insulting politicians children right? Well of course, it doesn't.

Let's just all agree that commentators say truly inappropriate things about politicians' children, and when they do those who support said politician pretend to be indignant. Those who don't laugh and shrug it off.

Of course, Obama's kids are completely off limits

I would think it was funny if it were my own kids. It wasn't directed at the kids. And it was just a dumb joke. Oh mommy he said my name is like calling in an an airstrike whaaa

So since we are not shocked we should simply not comment on it? I find that insufficent.

That is not what I said. What I said was that I'm not interested in defending Limbaugh or Maher, but I think they have a right to say what they want to say. I think it's horrible words, but we are debating what was said instead of debating their right to say it.
