He was an American Idol IMHO. And a great promoter of the right to own guns. I hope he died with a M-60 machine gun at his bedside....lol
I thought it was cool that they cast him in the cameo for the 2001 version of Planet of the Apes.

The scene which was filled with irony, also had a gun in it. Just shows you don't have to promote murdering of humans to think it's O.K. to own a gun.
But some people don't get that...

If there was a list of people who have shot a gun at another human being and not in defense, I bet the non-NRA people would be higher than NRA members by about 100 to 1...If not more...

Did Charlton Heston own a gun? Or just that old flintlock. I liked Heston. I think he played the NRA role to the hilt. The same guy who marched with King later hung around with Pat Robertson. In my opinion he started well and finished badly. But he did it the way he wanted right to the end. So good for him.
