Default Favorite Old Shows

I just thought I'd start a thread about the old "classics" you may be attached to...

The reason I started this thread is because I watched a documentary on a legendary show (for those of us old enough to remember it)...

Fawlty Towers

It was pure genius...John Cleese is one of THEE best physical actors that ever graced this earth...

So throw out your favorites here and let other members reminisce about the "good ole days"...

One of my favorites of all time is a British Comedy that ran from the early 70's to the mid 80's.

I can't help it..I'm still a huge fan of Our Gang/Little Rascals. There are many shows from the past that I love but I have to start with this one! I grew up in the exact same atmosphere that they did. We were always up to some new enterprise or scheme..

I loved that show. It was soooo funny. And another British classic I don't mind admitting I liked was Benny Hill.

One of the few movies that I enjoyed every bit as much as the original show, too!

AND best of all the "GANG" was made up of "ALL" types. The good ole days when one used "differences" to make things better.

How about some greats like Art Linkletter or Arthur Godfrey?

I love The Andy Griffith Show and M.A.S.H.

And Bonanza and The Big Valley.

And Star Trek. (The original series counts as an oldie.)

Oh hell. Why don't I just admit that I am a TV addict and that the list is way too long to post. LOL

I think what most of my favorites have in common is a strong cast of characters who love and support each other whatever foibles and disagreements they may have. I like to be uplifted by my entertainment.

I also used to love The Red Skelton Show. He was just such a sweet guy and that came across in everything he did. I haven't seen it in years but I wish one of my channels would start re-running it.

Andy's a little bit before my time, but I'm a BIG fan of M*A*S*H (And I'm a Republican, eh?)...

There used to be a time where my mom and I would battle to see who could come up with the correct storyline first based on the first few lines of the show...

Dragnet and Magnum P.I.
Loved dragnet. And the story line in Magnum was sometimes kinda hokie, but who cares? I got to look at hunk a hunk a Tom Selleck.
