Remember this though if you get one of those from Europe--you'll have to get a special VCR to play them--they're going to be in PAL. If you get a Japanese version, it should be in NTSC.

PAL uses 50hz, the screen refresh is based on their power source.

NTSC uses 60hz, the screen refresh is based on the power source. Japan uses 60hz, just like we do.
