Default Gordon's Music Gallery

i figured i would start a thread to post my musical endeavors so as not to muddy up other musical thread with my narcissism.
since i am unable to play in a band currently due to my work schedule i have been spending a lot of time learning songs i've always liked and wanted to learn.
then finding backing tracks minus the guitar and recording myself playing - like a live performance.
hope y'all enjoy my take on some of my favorite songs.
here are my latest recordings...

I feel ashamed that I didn't know any of the first three...They sound like great songs to be rolling down the highway...

Now the fourth song...GREAT tune!...I've sung it for karaoke on more than one occasion...

Thanks Gordon!...Can I request "Brandy, You're A Fine Girl" by Looking Glass?...

Excellent!...Thank you!!!...

The good news is that you rocked it up the right amount...That took it out of the soft rock category and into a harder bar scene sound...

The bad news is that, looking back, it wasn't much of a challenge...Without specifically listening to it before I requested it, I now realize it's just a ton of chord-work without putting up a sweat...

I'll request something else...with a higher degree of difficulty...Gotta make you work...

EDIT: I just thought of a KILLER guitar song...Sultans of Swing...

ooh...that is a killer tune. that's probably more of a long term project song. and, i'll have to see if i can do it justice. in the meantime i plan on doing another maybe not so popular tune that i love. a harder rock tune. after doing a soft rock cover i have to balance myself out with some straight up rock-n-roll.
