Unless a miracle, count LSU out...

Their next three games are at (18)Texas A&M, then home to play (1)Alabama, then on the road again at (12)Mississippi State...Simply brutal...

Most likely out, but an outside chance. I think they have a great team, just their offense gets a little stagnant at times.

I think they can beat A&M. Tigers are certainly the better team. Now the tricky part. If they can get pumped up and play at a top level, I think they can possibly beat the Tide in Baton Rouge, and then take down Mississippi State (which I think they will), that will set them up to win the SEC West and play Florida or South Carolina in the SEC Championship. And whomever wins the SEC Championship will most likely be playing in the BCS National Championship game.

Now all of that is not that far-reaching. The most difficult part will be beating Alabama. That will be an upset if it occurs, but not a huge one. But LSU will certainly be the dog in that one. But with A&M and Miss. State, they will be the favorites, though both will be tough games.

That alone, plus winning the SEC Championship, should put them in the #1 or #2 spot and in the BCS National Championship.

Not something I would bet on, but it's not that much of a stretch. But yes, that schedule is indeed a brutal one, but LSU is a tough and solid team. More defensive than offensive.

If that happens you are going to feel like the world's biggest assh*le.

I think the Sooners are going to spank the Golden Domers, though I will be rooting for ND. I like it when they play well and are in the top ten. However, they just do not have the offense to have a shot at finishing in the top five. Even if they manage to upset Oklahoma, they still have to end the season with USC.
