I would be shocked if they made the playoffs. They just are not a good team, despite their record.
cause as I said I haven't seen much of their game play. Just at the Haft time reports.

Yet I wouldn't bet them against the 6 or 7 teams I do like.

Week 5:
Da Bears will be trouncing the Jaguars at home this week. The Vegas line is Jags +6.5, expect the Bears to cover the spread.

lurch907, but I have to choose the Bears to win. I haven't checked to see which 4 games I will see on Sunday, yet I hope to sometime later.

Well Sunday afternoon football wasn't much from the few games I saw. KC's Cassel went down and was out. So their back up QB, got to show a bit of himself.
And I hope he starts a few games as Cassel will never be the QB the Chiefs hoped for.

But Sunday Night was the whole show. And winning the game. So I lost. I think the refs missed a few good calls which would have gone against the Saints.

.Brees sets mark with TD pass in 48th straight game

Associated Press – 15 hrs ago. 8 Oct. 2012 .............

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Drew Brees set an NFL record Sunday night with touchdown passes in 48 straight games, breaking a mark set by Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas a half-century ago.

The record-setting scoring strike was a 40-yard pass to Devery Henderson against the San Diego Chargers. After the completion, Brees raced to the end zone to greet Henderson, who incidentally wears the same No. 19 that Unitas wore for the Baltimore Colts.

The rest of New Orleans' offense pursued and swarmed around Brees in celebration. Brees then took the game ball to the sideline where he continued to accept congratulations.

Unitas set the record between 1956 and 1960 and no one had come within 10 games until Brees began to close in late last season. Tom Brady has the third-longest streak, extending his to 37 games Sunday in a victory over Denver.

Coach Sean Payton, assistant head coach Joe Vitt and general manager Mickey Loomis — all three suspended in the NFL's bounty investigation — were permitted by the NFL at Brees' request to attend the game.

Unitas' son, Joe, also was present.

Brees, meanwhile, continued to play at the prolific pace that had put him in position to break Unitas' record in the first place. His pinpoint pass to the back of the end zone in the second quarter helped Marques Colston snag his 50th touchdown catch, tying the franchise record set by Joe Horn in 2006.

Are you ready for some football?!

Texans and Jets tonight.

New York stinks this year and Houston looks as if they are one of the five best teams in the NFL.

GO TEXANS!

The Jets just have not been up to par. So this might become a brawl. As then the refs will be invoved in far to many plays.

The number of undefeated teams is down to two; Houston and Atlanta.

Congrats, Dave. Your team looks solid. I am actually a huge Schuab and Johnson fan.

I was so happy to see Johnson go all knuckles on Finnegan last year. He is such a dirty and bush league player and deserved everything Johnson gave him.

Those refs saved Finnegan's life.

Did you see Eric Winston's interview after the game Sunday? Chief's quarterback Matt Cassell got hit hard on a play and was hurt. Fans started cheering.

This is what Mr. Winston had to say.

Good for him.

We lost our defensive captain for the season......

Brain Cushing got rolled up on late with a questionable play and tore his ACL....

He'll never be the same and it will take a couple of years before he's back to his old self. The Texans finally did something that they've never been able to do, they played poorly at times and still found a way to win.....

We've got the Packers next week and they will be playing for their season. We've got to play better to beat Green Bay, no doubt about it.....
