Needless to say Reality TV isn't one of type I prefer.

I prefer shows with History, Science, Facts, comedy, drama, action and some of the movies that I don't buy as DVD's.

I ues to like Pawn Stars and the many Military relating to WWII and even WWI.
Now Tru TV is going to have another Pawn show that seems to be more atitude (more of the Reality type) but not for me.

Like everything else TV is going down hill fast.
On occasion, I'll sit and watch a flick. I can't even begin to tell you the thousands I've seen over the years. I am into old Hollywood with the stars of yesteryear. Davis, Gable, Bogart, Cobert, Leigh, Wayne, Crawford etc, so I've sat and watched loads of them over and over. However, many of the old time flicks are no longer in circulation, which is because the type of film used way back then had long since deteriorated before they could be transferred onto a new type of film. Since a new type of film had not yet been created, thousands of old flicks are lost and gone forever. Sad. I love a good western, war flick, (Bridge Over the River Kwai, comes to mind), with a comedy and thriller thrown in now and then. I have no desire to sit and watch the young stars coming up today. When you've spent evenings with the best, secondary doesn't get it.

Binky that is good news for you. I on the other hand have a hard time with the older movies.

I prefer action packed movies or ones with drama. But like right now I have on Tru TV World Dumbest... From stupid to speeders.

I enjoy seeing just how dumbed down American's have become.

I suppose it is good news for me. I'm a simple person. I don't require a lot of flash to be entertained. Just toss me a bone with a good cast and a terrific storyline and I'm good to go. I have sat and watched many action packed flicks tho', but they are not my favs. And I don't normally seek out dramas. Life is full of drama as it is, and I don't care to sit and be depressed on my down time.

Oh I think your more than simple. And we have the right to choo0se and pick what entertains us.

Like the drama in Bones or Law & Order (SVU) I see Bones as informative yet a love story which has no real chace at this point in time.

Law & Order (both) are well written and play to the reality of life. Kind of what I underlined.

But maybe not for you. Which I understand and approve of.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I have watched quite a bit Law and Order. And CSI has been a fav for a long time. I actually learned a lot as to what all goes on in that field of work, and how they come to the conclusions they do. But I watched it before I had gotten cable, and with that came a whole influx of various types of programming I had never seen before. But I don't really enjoy those stupid shows that show just how dumb people really are. It's sad enough to KNOW that people do the dumbest things which result in getting seriously hurt, killed or tossed in jail. However, to actually watch it all unfold and listen to how they speak, boggles my mind, as it's unbelievable how asanine some people can be in this day and age.

I do enjoy a good thriller now and then. I get a kick trying to figure out why something was done, who did it, and how are they going to catch that person or persons. And a great romantic comedy now and then lightens up the mood and puts a smile on my face. So how could I not like those? The flash movies have nowdays is fine on occasion, but, for me, a steady diet of it causes heartburn. LOLOLOLOL!

I forgot to include "Justified" my current favorite show. It is based on a Elmore Lenard charecter. I have read several of Lenard's books and find them entertaining. Especially one called "Cuba Libre". It is the story of an American cowboy who goes to Cuba with a string of horses to sell and gets caught up in the Spanish-American War.
