The establishment doesn't mind this kind of voter suppression especially in the primary elections. They would rather have rich, white folks decide who becomes nominee for the general election.

It's very interesting tho, both the right to bear arms and the right to vote are in the constitution. Whenever someone tries to curtail gun ownership in any way conservatives lose their ****ing minds but I dont hear them saying **** when their reps try to make it harder for people to vote. They always say guns are meant to protect the other rights. well, here's an opportunity......(crickets...)

People have said not to just dismiss the right as stupid, as it's polarizing and you won't get through to them that way, etc. But it's hard to imagine that someone with even average intelligence could be so lacking in self-awareness as they are.

It is the duty of a voter that wishes to participate in the voting process to properly register in the district in which they live.

But we know how this usually goes, someone will vote for these people if they are registered and whether or not they are alive.

I've been well off and I've been poor. I always found a way to update my address for voting. update my address, ss, reregister etc

Good for you. However, there are many that actually DIE and therefor are unable to update their voter registration. There are also those that neglect to update the Board of Elections when they move out of a voting district or out of the state. Therefore, the State needs to audit the voter roles periodically in order to remove those that no longer live in the district to which they are registered. This is just another example of the state doing their job. But because some left wing groups will no not be able to use those voters to vote illegally in an upcoming election, the left is making this out to be some nefarious effort by the state to disenfranchise it's voter base.
