Default Harris takes on questions about her 'blackness'

On the heels of Elizabeth Warren confessing she lied about her identity group membership. The would be President blamed her mother. Obama blamed the grandmother that took him in as a youngster after mom threw him out for bigotry. Kamala Harris continues the tradition of attacking anyone who questions here identity group membership.

Quote:
They are trying to do what has been happening over the last two years, which is powerful voices trying to sow hate and division, and so we need to recognize when we're being played," Harris said.

One of the hosts followed up by asking Harris how she responds to people who question "the legitimacy of your blackness."

"I think they don't understand who black people are," Harris replied. "I'm not going to spend my time trying to educate people about who black people are. Because right now, frankly, I'm focused on, for example, an initiative that I have that is called the 'LIFT Act' that is about lifting folks out of poverty," she said, detailing her plan for a $6,000 tax credit for middle class Americans.

"I'm black, and I'm proud of being black," she said at a later point in the interview. "I was born black. I will die black, and I'm not going to make excuses for anybody because they don't understand."
Instead of blaming mom or grandma for questioning her choice of identity group, it is "they" who are at fault. And why not? To Democrats ethnicity and gender is everything. A sympathetic media openly disparages the chances of a white male to win the nomination and after Hillary they are not terribly receptive to a white female either. In the Democrat celebration of diversity Kamala Harris can't afford to have any questions about her identity group membership.

I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of making sure people knew her identity group was, but I don't care what someone 'thinks' they are, it's a matter of what is fact. Let's take Obama for instance. I didn't view him as being 'Black', he was of mixed heritage. He chose to play up the 'Black background, to his benefit. That I have a problem with.

I don't vote gender, color, sexual orientation or any other defining characteristic. What can you do to benefit this country, what are you qualifications.

I don't agree with Ms. Harris' ideology. giving someone $6,000 doesn't raise anyone out of poverty, it's giving them someone else's money, which doesn't teach anyone how to improve their life, give them incentive to do better for themselves, and if they don't have to do anything for it, then it teaches them that they don't have to do anything for it.

Democrats have to play on factors other than qualifications as their base could care less about qualifications. Identity politics and emotional issues are what gets the base stirred up as economic policy puts them to sleep because it requires rational thought.

Why do Republican operatives always play this identity politics?
Oh right many of their base are prejudiced.
I forgot

Many people probably didn't think about Harriss' ethnicity one way or the other till Opposition ops called attention to it trying to make out like she's "hiding" something.
Way to be divisive! Divide and conquer as your ilk has since they fought to embed slavery into our system.

Harris prominently self identifies as black. Like the rest of the Democrats she plays the identity politics game to the hilt.

She was asked about her "blackness" on the breakfast club radio show. Two of their favorite subjects are Progressive politics and hip hop, staples of right wing talk radio.

Typical leftist tactic. Accuse the right for the very actions the left practices.

In my book, the only one that counts for me, all the people of planet Earth belong to one of two sub-groups: the ass hole race, and the human race.
