Election "worker" stops man from voting because he has a hat on about someone whose not even on any friggin' ballots...

‘Upset’ KC man told he couldn’t vote while wearing his MAGA hat. But he actually can

Quote:
An election worker told a Clay County man he couldn’t wear a “Make America Great Again” hat while voting in Kansas City, North on Tuesday.

But the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office said he could, in fact, wear the hat because it doesn’t pertain to this primary election, according to Tiffany Ellison, a director with the Clay County Election Board.

The man attempted to vote at the Northland Cathedral.

Men used not where any hat when inside a building for other than work.
People didn't wear political gear to an election poll because it is unethical. Guess people can just shLt on the table now at churches and it's ok.

You do realize that this is 1.) not a general election, but a primary and 2.) Trump is not even on the ballot.

You really should take the advice of Samuel Clemens "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

You'd be better warned with that advice than me. Some people don't know what end is up. Evidently this guy is one of them.

I didn't think you could wear any political apparel at your polling place. Learned something new, and it makes sense.

I don't think this was a law, at least not to begin with. People figured out a long while back that tempers flair over politics. Why there is a law you may not show up drunk to vote and election day most everywhere there have been no alcohol sales on that day.

The issue here is that an election worker learned something NEW...Something that should've been known...

Looking around, I found a funny one...stupid, but funny...

2012 election...Mitt Romney/Barack Obama...

Hold it right there. Take off the sweatshirt.

Quote:
How do you know when your elections workers are on high alert? When they flinch at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

According to Alton Dillard, a spokesman for the Denver Clerk and Recorder’s office, a veteran poll worker waved a distress flag and called for a supervisor when she spotted a young woman in the lobby of the Denver Elections Division wearing what she believed was a sweatshirt violating the state’s electioneering law.

The garment bore the letters “MIT.”

The state’s electioneering law forbids anyone from attempting to express support for or against a candidate or issue within 100 feet of a polling place. That inludes signs, buttons and yes, T-shirts and other clothing.

“I was in the area, saw the shirt and assured the worker that there was only one ‘T,’ so the voter was not electioneering,” Dillard said.

No word on whether the woman was carrying a catcher’s mitt or had rum on her knee.

these people are volunteers and do their very best to uphold the law, taking the job seriously. Should these mistake makers have been shot?
The woman in M.I.T. sweater prolly knew she was poking at the "man".
But yeah silly and shows bad raising in my day but times unfortunately are changing.

You're the one talking about crap you know nothing about. The law in that state does not prevent him from wearing a campaign hat from a politician that is not on the ballet.
