. Where's the transcript of what was said? Video? recording? something that I can make a judgement of my own as to the context of what was said - if it indeed was said?I did find though that the "plagiarism" amounts to six paragraphs, to which Ogletree declares the following: But Ogletree told The Crimson that he had not read the passage of Balkin’s book that appears in his own work. An assistant inserted the material into a manuscript and intended for another assistant to summarize the passage, according to Ogletree’s statement. The first assistant inadvertently dropped the end quote, and the second assistant accidentally deleted the attribution to Balkin before sending a draft to the publisher. Oh yes, sounds like a cheating fiend to me, . Furthermore, the victim of the plagiarism you ask?“He has been incredibly gracious throughout the process,” Ogletree said of Balkin. On the original source I posted, you can click any one of the multiple places the author has underlined in his writings...one of them goes to a freerepublic page...(Freerepublic is VERY partisan (a conservative circlejerk)and I don't use them as a source, but the site does DOES tell you where to go for the recording you ask for... Personally I think it is as stupid to say that a white person is voting for Obama because he is half white, as it is stupid to say that anyone is voting for Obama because of his black half. Obama is a man, not a latte. But, it is a free country and everyone is entitled to an opinion, There is pervasive racism in this country from every race, that much is true. |

![]() Um. Racism IS being considered. Some people DO look at Obama as being "white", and some look at him as being "black". Racism will probably exist for many decades, although I doubt it will ever go away completely. You even posted a link to statistics on people (Democrat / Republican) who would agree with statements like "Blacks are lazy". HOW is any of this controversial when these are just plain facts??? As for the originating quote that brought on this thread, I am somewhere inbetween interested into wading through the audio file to listen for it, and annoyed that it's a 45 MB audio file. And of course, the article doesn't give any guidance on where in this 94 minute MP3 that the quote exists... Why does that not surprise me... If this is true, I rank it up there with McCain having a health advisor whose "medical plan" is for Americans to go to the emergency room. I bet most people hadn't even heard of this position (if he were to be appointed) before now.

Pushing that racism? Are you for real? The man has an opinion of what motivates whites to vote for Obama and he has a right to express that opinion whether you agree with it or not. He's also one of the lawyers pushing for the government to pay reparations for slavery (little tidbit I ran into while looking him up). Controversial, perhaps, but so are many elected politicians. I may not agree with him, but that does not mean he will not do a good job regardless if he is indeed appointed.

Well if blacks want to play the race card I wish they would play at least a 9, 10, or a face card cause this 3 of spades that they are playing now is giving them a BAD REPUTATION that will do nothing but get worse.
Just look at what all you have to IGNORE in order to think that this man would be a good president. I could name bunches of better black candidates. Some of which ran for office as Republicans and were DEFEATED by white Democrats and some that won their elections. I'll start the list and ya'll can help; Bill Cosby J C Watts Steele Lyn Swann Herman Caine Larry Elder Thomas Sowell Walter Williams Alan Keyes
