Biden: Voters "having a difficult time" electing first African American president

Quote:
ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: As Election Day looms just over two weeks away, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., said Saturday that with Republicans firing "vicious" and "dangerous" attacks at Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., voters are "having a difficult time" opting for the man who would become the nation's first African American president.

"Undecided people are having a difficult time just culturally making the change, making the move for the first African American president in the history of the United States of America," the Democratic vice-presidential nominee said at a San Francisco fundraiser Saturday evening. "So we need to respond. We need to respond at the moment, immediately, not wait, not hang around, not assume any of this won't stick."
Got that folks?...

If you're undecided, that just means that you're a racist and can't get over your racist feelings...

Identity politics...think it's bad in the race?...Just think what happens when someone argues against Obama's policies as president...

"Either you submit to my policies or you hate black people."...

My name won't be on this empty bill of goods...

Got that folks? When you are losing an election because you have run nothing but a dirty campaign full of false accusations and innuendo, encourage this sense of entitlement among your supporters, that way they create things and read falsehoods into something completely benign.

The previous post in this thread is a great example of how desperate some McCain supporters have become. Instead of talking about the real issues of the election, they are creating negative things to talk about.

Obviously, a normal human being would read the quote from Biden as it was intended. There are some people out there who are undecided not because of the issues, but because of the non-issues such as race or gender. If there were no issues with race and culture, then we wouldn't have concepts such as the Bradley effect.

Pointing out the obvious is hardly anything more examining the situation, not creating a situation.

People should be ashamed of themselves for creating identity politik issues, which is what the poster not the subject tried to do.

Kind of like Spanish has a tradition of not trusting Africans, Union and some other clusters of traditional Democrats traditionally don't trust Africans.

First to explain the Latin thing- The ships that brought the slaves were mostly Spanish though the British and colonies and others (including Arabs) did the trading. But it is a kind of ingrained subculture view that the Democrat party has sought (with success) to abolish in today's America.
Unions not having black members (in history-not now) stems from one of the biggest strike breaks in America when meat packers shipped thousands of African Americans to Chicago to break the strike. They broke it. They could never belong to a union cause they were scabs. And the meat packers fired them and hired the next group of union free immigrants to fill their shoes at a much lower wage. There has been a resentment of Blacks ever since. Joe knows union people and he knows some other demographics just naturally don't trust Blacks. He is trying to dispel the myths and bring them on board to a brand new way of thinking. Some people want to embrace forgetting racism. He's just helping to push them over to where almost everyone wants to be anyway.
I mean if the only reason you won't vote for someone is because your granddaddy would roll over in his grave, that's kind of silly, don't you think? Pointing to out obvious and dealing with it head on, is one strength this Democratic campaign has going for it.

I believe some people DO have a difficult time voting for a black man. A Democrat friend of mine refuses to vote for Obama due to his race and has told me so.I admire his candor but despise his racist views.

That said...could Biden have meant that "some" undecided voters are having a difficult time electing the first Afro-American president ?

I have a hard time believing that he believes all undecideds are pure racists..
