Obama's transition team meets, candidate pushes on

Quote:
Barack Obama's transition team recently held a large organizational meeting as part of an accelerated effort to plan for a possible new administration, Democratic officials said Friday, as the nominee embarked on a late-campaign tour of traditional Republican states with a fresh attack on John McCain.

Under the direction of John Podesta, a former White House chief of staff under Bill Clinton, the transition effort includes a dozen separate groups divided into different areas of responsibility, these officials said. One added that Cassandra Butts, a longtime associate of Obama, is in charge of the group dedicated to personnel for a new administration.

The effort is largely separate from the campaign structure that helped plan and execute Obama's remarkable rise to the position of front-runner in a race in which he is bidding to become the first black president.
Besides the obvious arrogance of putting the wheels in motion as if the election is already decided, let's take a look at the top 2 people on his transition team....

Center for American Progress

Quote:
The Center for American Progress was begun in 2003 by philanthropists Herb and Marion Sandler. It is a Washington, DC-based liberal think tank created and led by John D. Podesta.
For those who don't know, Herb & Marion Sandler are the couple that sold their bank, including it's worthless mortages, to Wachovia Bank, facilitating the recent collapse......

Another little tidbit about Podesa's outfit...

Quote:
The Center for American Progress American Progress is slated to operate with a $10 million budget next year, raised from big donors like the financier George Soros.
And Cassandra Butts?...also a "Center fo American Progress" gal...

So the two top people part of Obama's transition team work for a liberal think-tank funded by George Soros...

Is that what you REALLY want?...

If you don't think that's enough, guess you The Center for American Progress" coordinates their events with?...Yup...As if you couldn't guess...

From May of this year...a few months after Edwards bailed out of the primary...

Quote:
On May 13, ACORN National President Maude Hurd and Philadelphia ACORN member Olivia Dorsey will introduce former Sen. John Edwards in announcing his position as chairman of “Half in Ten,” a new campaign to cut poverty in the United States in half in 10 years.

The campaign is a partnership of ACORN, the Center for American Progress Action Fund (CAPAF), the Coalition on Human Needs (CHN), and the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (LCCR).
Soros, The Center for American Progress, , the Sandlers, ACORN, and Obama's transition team...

More alliances you're not supposed to know about so Obama can appear mainstream to to the public...

Bush went forward with a transition team before we knew who would be President, a move Republicans said at the time was wise.

In light of the economic crises and the ongoing war, this is a good move by Obama.

As stated, I'm more concerned with the PEOPLE in the transition team more than the fact that there is one...

Oh come on. You have and will question anything Obama does. I have posted a bunch of "Questions" about McCain with no interest or response from you. Fact is you want Obama to lose. You will find any reason you can to make him seem less desirable. Any post that you think can be made to sound like a reasonable critism usually falls short. Obama is not Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers or Acorn. He's not a muslim Although if he was it wouldn't have any bearing on anything.

Sure wish you had the same types of concerns when discussing McCain or Palin. It would at least show that you are being even handed in you investigation of the candidates relations with people. But you don't find any fault in McCains relations.

Again. Don't vote for Obama. And that should take care of that.

John Podesta was on Clinton's staff. The couple sold a bank to another bank that is now bankrupt. I forgot the other guy, but I don't see a problem with this. A team is putting together strategy for transitioning from one administration to another.
