Thousands of voters across the country must reestablish their eligibility in the next three weeks in order for their votes to count on Nov. 4, a result of new state registration systems that are incorrectly rejecting them.
The challenges have led to a dozen lawsuits, testy arguments among state officials and escalating partisan battles. Because many voters may not know that their names have been flagged, eligibility questions could cause added confusion on Election Day, beyond the delays that may come with a huge turnout.

Thousands Face Mix-Ups In Voter Registrations - washingtonpost.com
I heard a small bit on the radio stating 90% of Americans are interested in this year's Presidential election. I don't know if that figure is correct. But for sure the percentage is higher than in recent memory.
Record numbers of new voter registrations.
Fouled up touch pad machines in some counties (full of seniors no less!), and now this state handling the votes. They should have left the towns and counties to do it the way they've always done IMO. Just because we had a close race and the top two contenders clawing like bar girls in a mud fight, we had to redo the whole system. What makes anyone think an entity that handles a LARGER amount of people can do any better than a town of 1700, or one million?
Ought to be interesting.
