Default Obama Supporter Assaults Female McCain Volunteer in New York

For today's story, we go to France...

That's right...f*ckin' FRANCE!!!!!

While the American media is busy putting up McCain supporters SAYING bad things, they REFUSE to show the other side where PHYSICAL ATTACKS are happening...

Culture Wars: New Yorkers give McCain supporters the finger

Quote:
It was an amazing experience. I didn't expect the en masse response of that area, but I never felt threatened there. I was assaulted recently at a subway station when I was handing out McCain fliers with another supporter. We were standing there, talking to each other, and a rather benign, doughy-looking Jewish guy - not a person I would have expected to assault me - he saw us and he ripped a McCain sign out of his hands, broke it and tore it. And I said "What are you doing? You can't do that!" And he was red in the face screaming, "You people are ridiculous!" And I said "Yeah, whatever, but you can't do that."

So I reached for the sign that he ripped up, and he grabbed another sign, broke it and ripped it to shreds. And when I said "You can't do that," he took the stick from the sign and started beating me on the head with it. He broke the skin on my head, he scratched my wrist, and I thought he broke my glasses, but he didn't, and then he left.

I followed him down the stairs until I could get the police and I said, "You're not going to get away with it." And as soon as he saw the police he immediately went calm. He still had the stick in his hand, and you could see the injury on my face, and he admitted it. He was arrested. He actually said "I don't know why I did this. It's just those signs, and this election, it has me so upset."
Now go blow it off and tell me about the lady who thinks Obama was an Arab again...because Lord knows that's more important than assault...

Oh for the love of %@#$...
You can't find well enough to complain about "the left" in America, so you start digging through foreign affairs trash?

The other day I came across a story from a foreign country about how a MAN WAS SHOT for wearing an Obama shirt.
Man shot three times by racist gunman - for wearing Barack Obama T-shirt | Mail Online

"The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting 'I f***ing hate n*****s' and urging 36-year-old Mr Egwuatu to leave the shop with him."
I figured it was
A) a foreign country, and
B) completely devoid of any real "issue" value, so I didn't even bother posting it.

I guess I should have just posted it...
I mean, after all if we're going to talk about "physical attacks", I've got a guy who was shot for supporting Obama.

But of course, it's the "right" victim-hood complex you want to report, isn't it cnredd....

I couldn't get your link (france) to load in either IE or FFox. Maybe it's just me.
This guy wasn't at a rally. He was out on the street. So how is Obama supposed to be remotely connected to him?
Sounds like we better get this election over with. And hopefully the economy will pick up some.
I think there should be a week that people just turn their damned radio and TV off and calm down!

Well, seeing that it is in New York, hard-core Democrat territory that it is, I must confess I am not really surprised that this event transpired, though obviously the supporter should perhaps have expressed their sentiments in a less violent manner.

Quote:

New York the wrong town to be right
AS TOUGH a town as New York is supposed to be, it may be toughest yet for young Republicans. Theirs is the allegiance that dare not speak its name.

"It is pretty tough. You would not want to tell people in a bar that you were Republican," said Jen Saunders, 28, a public relations professional who also acts for the New York Young Republican Club. "Sometimes there is real hostility."

The only hostility evident during Wednesday night's presidential debate was running the other way as an ebullient crowd gathered on the Upper East Side to hoot Senator Barack Obama and exult in Senator John McCain's jibes at his Democratic rival.

But the sense of Republicans as a minority in a Democratic city was never far away when they gathered in ground floor club rooms on a largely residential street. It was a bunker-like room for a bunker mentality.

Trying to recruit volunteers to help the campaign next weekend, the club president, Lynn Krogh, offered: "I promise you, you will not be spit on."

The crowd, numbering about 200, cheered the early message from a senior club member who said the polls could not be trusted: Senator McCain is trailing by three points at most, not the 10 points some published results suggest, he said.

Despite instructions to be silent during the debate, they roared approval when Senator McCain distanced himself from the past seven years of Republican administration with an almost treasonous disdain.

They roared again when Senator McCain challenged Senator Obama to state just once when he had challenged his party leaders.

And they shouted encouragement when Senator McCain demanded Senator Obama explain his links to the 1960s radical Bill Ayers, described by the Arizona senator as a "washed-up terrorist".

Media polls afterwards would declare Senator Obama the winner and suggest that Senator McCain was seen as angry and negative. Yet in this room Senator McCain's punches landed and Senator Obama was forever defensive.

A middle-aged actor, "Seth", who said he could not afford to be identified since in the arts world Republicans were viewed as "Nazis", declared the election over and Senator McCain victorious.

"I believe there are a lot of people in this country afraid to say to the pollsters that they are for McCain because they are afraid of the race issue."

Jason Mendelson, 31, a guest at the club, said: "I think it was close enough that people who liked McCain would think that he won and people who liked Obama would think he won. I would still give an edge to McCain."

And it was pretty much the complete opposite when I moved here to Idaho in '89. I never heard such disdain for Democrats before then. I personally think my state more or less back lashes against far left California.
But I've heard people say they were Christian therefore they could never vote Democrat. It's hard (for me from the east coast) not to play the devil's advocate at times, although the more time I spend here, I can appreciate that some of the regional values are just so different -climate, water rights/agriculture, population density-there are times to vote Republican and other times to go another way. When others are nodding and singing Kumbaya over allowing state and federal land to be used differently, I see my neighbor who is feeding a good part of the country with his cattle, and I wonder who would replace him when the land use issue goes completely left.

I understand it happens on both sides...YOU understand it happens on both sides...

But the MEDIA knows it happens on both sides yet refuses to give both sides EQUAL ATTENTION...

And when I point that out, who gets the attacks?...

Personally, I believe the news worthiness of stories like the one posted above, and one of police beating back protesters from a national party caucus are very different.

I agree with you to a certain extent but as I've stated many times...TALK RADIO more than balances everything out! For many...talk radio IS the media and they are brainwashed for as much as two hours or more during their commute. I live in one of the most conservative areas in the country. People here talk more about what Rush said on his show than they do about CNN,FOX MSNBC combined! It's also common to hear Rush or Hanity's show playing in the background when you enter a small business to place an order.

Conservative Talk Shows are everywhere and again...for many, this is their media and main source of propaganda and they accept it as truth from the great prophet of the air waves!

Truth comes in many flavors...welcome to the media cafeteria..
